i used to buy lingerie for my ex gfs (only those that will want it). none of those open crotch panties or whatever, just those sexy lacy variants that they can also wear to work. a few of them whom i had longer relationships with got garter belts with matching stockings.
my last g/f i had before i got married was gifted a full matching set (bra, garter belt, panties and stockings) from VS. she totally rocked in it and really liked it.
my wife buys her own stuff. she is the conservative type. she occasionally surprises me with a lacy bra or two but only because she fits into them or because she likes the design lol
