Yes,even the girls name could be cooked up too. Girls hop around in Batam from places to places,not necessary always with one OKT or in a single location, hence getting to know how they look like is still the better way to identify them. 2) both bf gf do drugs, only way to continue their habit is for the gf to open leg
3) native gf willingly open leg and earn money for the bf/husband as they think that she alone can earn 3x 4 X more than their combined salary on normal work, why need work so hard? Especially for those who left their children in their husband care at home .
Personally I came across 2 similar examples:
1) 1 prc in her 30s came to sg 8 years ago found a lover who is the son of a factory in sg. The lover paid her roughly 5-8k a month. During the 8 years , she often send money home to the husband as he's taking care of their only son in China. She also managed to buy a house and a car in China during this period.. The husband will bring their son to sg to visit her once or twice a year. The husband did not know the source of money as far as I know.
2) A Indonesian mother who has 2 sons and 2 grandsons. The elder son who is in his 30s qualify to work in shipyard for a salary of 3 juta + a month in batam. However, the mother ask her son to quit the job and stay at home to mind the children as she's proudly say that she's able to earn more than her by selling kuekue in sg every weekend, she earns roughly 6-8 juta a month by doing so. In fact their fin situation is not that good as the mother often has to borrow from others without the ability to return to survive. She's only in sg for a day every weekend and rest of the time she will be at home. Hence, really can't understand her thoughts.

So, it happens, but I would not really say that this is the norm, as the bullshit claimed in many TV documentary reports.
The island she's referring to probably from tanjong Balai. More girls are been contracted to tanjong Balai than compared to batam I feel . Many of the girls in Balai after their contract move to batam to continue their way of live. Hence, in terms of syt Balai farm definitely more than batam farm. Any girls in Balai probably will choose to work in batam than in Balai as the facilities there are very limited as compare to the luxury of one can have in batam. And also on average Balai farm girl seems to be more service oriented than batam, at least on the runner issue.
In your next trip probably can try to stay a night in Balai and take a domestic ferry to batam the next day.

Years ago, I was considering to go exploring Karimun, but then I gave up, because Batam was (is) offering me so much, TOO much for a single man who stays only 1 week.
I see it is very far from Batam. A visit there would take not less than 3 days off my stay in Batam. Too risky :-)
