Now i learned that this kind of satay should be more suitable for Singaporean taste bud. I ate the almost look-a-like kind of satay at Baba street at City walk...cost 16k for 10 sticks.

Base on my taste bud,this Baba street has one of the Best Satay and Best Kosong Roti Prata in Batam,hehehe...

You are right on some point. I brought a group of friends to Batam,only me need to carry the Andromax device in my pocket,all my friends behind me can surf...hehehe...good idea huh? Even friends beside my room can get connected too. Of course, the Andromax device is password secured. And only one password is needed.

I prefer to connect via USB (unless i am out of room). One of the reason is, the battery usage. If the battery runs low, the network auto disconnected. Its also more stable with USB connection too.

My 1st Andromax was bought few months ago at Nagoya Hill Mall costing 350k rupiah,and i top up another 60k rupiah for some freebie data. If i dont remember,its extra 18GB data or something like that.

Last month while i was at DC Mall,2 shops there try to sell me the same Andromax at 500k rupiah. (at least i know from here who is trying to chop me here)

I did a calculation,every month 100k would give me 5GB plus some other bonus data,which i think its sufficient for a few days usage for a few devices at a time. There is also a 60k rupiah plan too,but only has 2GB data and maybe extra 1GB free data.

12GB plus bonus of dont know how many GB for 150k rupiah tho.

Its is also why i recommend it for bro BFOMF5 earlier if he decide to set up a surveillance cam in N's shop,hehehe...setting up a surveillance cam isnt as easy as discussed previously if one only calculate just the cost of the camera alone,hehehe... Its like buying a mobile phone without sim card,warranty,charger and knowledge of how to use it or rectify its problems (there's also bound to be problem connecting (or get disconnected from) to a static ip address,hehehe...).

Its a choice anyway...hehehe...well,if he wish to look at the other beautiful neighbours when he isnt in Batam.

350k is cheap but I believe it's network locked. Cannot be use with other operators.

Btw, I have just setup an IPcam in Batam.
IT has advance in this field and so it not hard to do now.

This is the most critical aspect. I strongly do not recommend anyone to buy a locked device. Phones and mobile wifi routers should be always unlocked, to have the freedom to use a SIM of whatever operator in whatever country.

The argument "but I leave Singapore only to travel to Indonesia" is not valid, as we never know what we'll do in the future.
This 4G device is expected to have a lifetime of a few years. I would not spend money today, to get something I can use only in one country with one operator for the next years.

Singapore has plenty of shops for electronics and communications. It's worth to pay a visit and buy something good, at the best price but not the cheapest. Quality matters (and lasts over time).
That device will be your faithful travel companion for years and anywhere you go.

It should be not more stable, actually.
However, yes battery usage is an issue. I keep two chargers always connected in my room. When I enter, I connect the router to one and the phone to the other.
However, even with continuous usage (I surf, chat and play Pokemon Go, which generates LOTS of traffic) my wifi router takes more than 10 hours to discharge the battery.
