yoz bros! i think reading all ur postings sounds so much easier than the real thing.
this is my 5th day in shanghai, juz managed to find a internet place herer at the shanghai lib to post my miserable trip. u are right, bro shagman. there is no luck here during the days. except for a little tits-squeezing at a hair salon..nothing worth mentioning. but the gers here in shanghai are all slim, tall and fair! dressed in trendy trechcoat, boots and scarf...wow! makes me wonder wat's underneath all those layers.. hv been to hangzhou on a local tour. no luck either, ask the tour guide abt the gers..he says he dunno anything. sigh! where is this tai ji massage place near somerset service apartment xuhui?i hv been walking ard my area for the past 2 days.can't find it although i hv seen 2 other zu-liaos ard here. wish me luck ! hope i get to post something exciting or interesting soon.me leaving next monday on the 10th. hv fun all the bros who r in shanghai now!

For an old man like me who doesn't drink, no point for me to go to a KTV or the popular 540joint(New Huai Hai). I am more of a massage guy and am willing to try out various joints. So, your list would be very helpful. Surprised to hear from Bbailey that he didn't have fun in SHA. He can try out Dong Fang Sauna at Xu Jia Hui or Shi Quan at Ya'an Lu. A good place to relax with good 'lip-service' too.

Fa-lang or barber shops are everywhere in any cities. Shanghai is no exception. They are actually fark shop disguised as barber shop.
They can be easily spoted out as they are normally very sparsely renovated unlike the normal unisex barber shop or salon. Some of them even display the blue, red and white light cylinder shape light. One tell tail sign is that there only gals employee. No place for a guy to work there. They alway located in the small side street...away from the spotlight and cheap rental I supposed. Go explore along the small that you guys are familar with, you be surprised there are wonderful FLs in your neighborhood..... If first time to the FL, the "luo pang hiang" or lady boss will sound out "Xian sheng An-mo mah ??". Don't be shy, go straight to the point and ask what level of service is provided....HJ, FJ, BJ, BBBJ etc... The standard price for the Fa-lang in Shanghai as what I know is 50rmb for "Tai fei" which the boss will keep and rmb100 to 150 for fj. Total max rmb200. Don't pay more than that...don't spoil market ok. The rest is tip which is optional and don't tip too often....Please be warned that the facilties in many FL are ok and clean but some are quite run down....If "facilities and set up" is an issue for some, pls check it out first...just walk off if you are not happy with what you see.....But defintely not 4 or 5 stars hotel standard...... The following are some of the areas where there FLs. I believe they quite near to town. Yili Lu There are like 3 shops on the north side and another three on the south side of that street. The street is perpendicular to Yili and is one long block north of HongQuio Lu. XUJIAHUI area has quite a few barber shops on Nan Dan Lu KangDingLu towards the north end of ShanXiNorth Road Haifang Road : If you head north on Shanxi North Rd past Kandinglu, you will hit Haifang Rd. Make a left and there a few bbs on the street. I think its the 2nd closest one to Shanxi Rd and on the north side of the street Huangpi Lu : mostly south of Fuxing Lu. Also on Hefei Lu a half block east of Huangpi Lu. Shan (not Shaan) Xi Road : This street is near the intersection of He Nan Lu and Hai Ning Lu. As SH is changing so fast some of the above places may be obsolete. Anyway, go walk the side streets with an eagle eye I am sure we can find more new FLs with more exciting stocks. Bro, pls post FRs and update the info..... Cheers
