Though I have not been pubs for long time, I think the situation does not change much. They will try to their ways to get the money from the fishes in the pool (on the spot), rather than being fished (out of the place). Prob bro SGPSha69 can elaborate more on this.
After all, I think HCs still better, hassle free and lesser risk. If not happy can complain some more...

Try Holiday Inn Pudong.... so far the hotel is quite girl friendly. There are many FLs that gather at the courtyard at night... just stand there and they will start to offer their services.

Pretty or not pretty really varies pending on your defination of chio. In terms of outlook, i reckon the mm in shanghai are much better looking. Suzhou still remains quite kampong.
