Frankly bro, SHA is the most expensive place to chiong (after Beijing), and it's a fact that we all cant change.

I moved over frm Nanjing and Ningbo, and hence, just like u, I also cant take the cost of living here. In NB, especially in Beilun, dirt cheap for quick bonk, 200-300 for whole nite. In SHA, this amount only pays for tips!

Sorry to hear that you missed finding your fave bar, Judy Q on Tongren Rd Street of Bars.
Just for your future info & all fellow bros, Tongren Rd Street of Bars comprises 2 separate stretch, mainly divided by Nanjing Xi rd.
Towards the North direction, demarcated by Nanjing Xi rd intersection & Beijing Xi Rd intersection are Malone Bar & Rest, and Mint Music Bar. In between this stretch one can also detour towards to a left minor rd (right before Beijing Xi Rd junction) named Nanyang Rd where one can find the famous Big Bamboo Bar & Rest. Free pool & American food rest. Also, there are afew new bars opened up along this stretch of the street. However, I have not checked out any of these new bars as yet.

The other stretch of street of bars are demarcated by Nanjing Xi Rd intersection & YanAn Rd intersection towards the South direction. (Diagonally opposite Kerry Center)
This stretch comprises more selection of bars & rests.
Here one can find famous bars & rests like Bluefrog Bar & Rest, Manhattan Bar, Judy's Too, Woodstock Bar, etc.
