About Esalen...if you noticed that shop does not display or produce a standard price menu. That means the price quoted for the standard hourly massage is "opened market" and this irks every customer. What I understand is that it is normally VND100k/hr before 6pm and VND150k/hr after 6pm. And both rates cover the use of all facilities + 1hr std massage. And that is after I caught the front receptionist off guard who tried to quote me VND250k/hr (after 6pm) when I was only charged VND150k/hr (after 6pm) the previous evening. I used to be a regular until I found out that the locker room boys were not too honest. VND300k was ripped from my wallet which was supposedly secured in the clothes locker. Of course all staff including management claimed to be innocent but there is no way I will patronize that shop again. To conclude, any MP shop in Hanoi that does not have a standard menu that means the initial rate quoted is always negotiable otherwise I'd rather head on to another more familiar MP joint.

My first time in Hanoi and I get to meet up with the famous Bro Deptrai, what an honour!
Met up with bro at Hanoi Hotel and he drove me on his trusty motorbike to a local massage joint. Was told not to speak too much inside and pretend to be like a local. Paid 80,000VND and was led to a room, room has its own attached steam bath and shower! Did the necessary shower and waited for my gal. Gal came in and first look was not too bad, but thought I saw some better looking ones outside, but what the heck, she prob will not understand if I request to change girl anyway.... Hi all,
Mission report: The mission was a resounding success! Last evening was my first time meeting up with Samsters and I must say that under the leadership of Bro Deptrai, we had a great time. We had dinner at a local Bia Hoi on Tang Bat Ho Street and I was introduced to this really pungent dish, the name of which eludes me, that made my eyes water (never again, Bro Deptrai!  ). After a few rounds of beer (it is a Bia Hoi afterall), we adjourned to a local KTV to begin the night's REAL entertainment. The four of us ended up in Bich Anh which had a big colourful Karaoke and restaurant sign outside (talk about daring). As usual, the staff there were clamouring to provide our dear Bro Deptrai with the best service. We were shown to a large comfortable room and after waiting for a while, the girls were shown in and we quickly picked our companions. The girls at Bich Anh are quite pretty so it wasn't too difficult to make a decision, I think most are at least 6 or 7 / 10 and fun-loving. Total damage VND 2 mil (we had whiskey) and tips were VND200k per lady. After KTV, we went to have supper at a local joint on Tong Duy Tan where we discussed about the relative merits of Vietnamese ladies. Sad to say, I have not personally experienced the fabled TLC that Vietnamese ladies can offer but since I am Posted2Hanoi, I have entered this into my workplan for the year! Overall a fantastic experience and a great stress-reliever, thanks Bro Deptrai!

In continuation of Bro Posted2Hanoi's post, I would also like to contribute my FRs which is the following day after our nite-out with Bro Deptrai.
