I stood up and went over to the car to have it started.

The maid came out first and stood near the front seat.

ms LO came out with a young gal and they took the back seat.

The care centre wasn't too far , nearby off kovan area.

Ms LO brief on the prefer route to be taken and in no time we arrived outside the child care centre.

LO " pls park the car And come in"

Me " ok"

Ms LO introduced me to the class teacher as the temp driver. My HP number was also given to her in case of any matters arises with regards to the child.

The young was abt 25 years old . Short . Average looking with short hair. We shook hands and I walked bk to the car to wait for Ms LO .

She came bAck to the car and we head off to a nearby market before sending her back home.

It was about 11am . Ms LO came out and I drove to her office in CBD areA

She requested for 938 live radio station to on instead of my CD instrumental music.

I complied and there was no small talk all the way to her office.

Ms LO " pls head by to my house, the maid will cook a simple meal for you. "

Me " thank you"

I came back to the house and the maid was watering the potted plants.

Maid " sir what would you like to have ? Mee soto soup or chicken teriyaki with rice and vege ?

Me " no need too much trouble mee soup will do just fine "

I Waited outside at the front patio area, pulling the coffee table chair over sitting down look out at my car.

Lunch was ready and I took it outside rather than inside the house.

After lunch , the maid make a peppermint tea .

Maid " good for your stomach sir ! "

I thank her for it.

About at 2 pm the maid came out and I knew it was time to pick up the child.

We arrived at 220pm . I off the engine and went in with the maid . The other teachers were all looking as I step in . The form teAcher came out with the child .

Form teacher " hi we meet again Charles,

Me " sorry I forgot your name . . ,! "

" just call me WEN ... She replied back.

Me " alright teacher WEN . See you tomorrow morning "

She smiled back and waved goodbye to the child.

By the end of the 2nd day I was comfortable with the routine and was having no difficulty carrying out my job.

After lunch daily , I ask for permission from the maid and took a pail of water to do some touch up on the car.

This is to prevent me from failing asleep and also helps to have a light workout.

The rest of the day went by without much hick ups.

The next morning while on the way to the child care centre.

LO " Charles today the school is on half day bcoz is their " founders day" . Pls pick up the kid at 1pm instead. "

Me " noted "

We head back to the house and skipped going to the market .

Ms LO got change into a new set of clothes and off i went to drive her to office.

Before Ms LOW got down she instructed

LO " Charles , pick up these stuffs food stuff from kovan mall and passed it to Ms Wen later. It is for their gathering this evening. They may need your help to transport some bulky item to their chalet. Once you drop the kid back home , you are official done for the day. If you can assist the teachers in anyway pls help them.

Me " certainly , I will offer my assistance and check with teacher WEN before i report off.

LO " thank you very much Charles "

I arrived at 1pm and took the food stuff and hand over to Ms Wen.

Wen " thank you Charles , would u be joining us later this evening ?

Me " erhhhhh..... I was told to assist you ladies ? Not to sure if is a good Idea to attend your company function. ? "

The maid and child were making their way to the cAr .

Some teachers were eavesdropping at the background....

One female teacher " aiyah ... Teacher WEN ask u to come , just come Loh. .... HOR MS WEN ! ....in a .teasing manner,

Ms Wen blushed and turn around and walk away.

Me " I will come back later , let me drop them back home first.... Pointing to my car.

Quicken my pace and head out of the school compound .

I took my own sweet time and arrived back at 145 pm.

The gate was open As all the kids had already dismissed.

I drove past the gate and park inside.

As soon as I closed door car door, Ms Wen came out to check on me.

Wen " hey, we are having lunch at the back , there are lots of food . Why don't you come and have some too?

I hesitated .

Me " erhhhh.... I think I will be fine ...."

wen " I know ... I take some food out instead. ..... She dash back in.

She came out five mins later with a plate full of food.

Wen " pls ... Eat ! "

Me " that is way too much , anyway thank you.

I took the plate and went to shaded spot to have my food.

I only managed to finished half the food.

I saw a senior lady coming out of her office and she went to brief the rest of the teachers.

She walked passed me

You must be the replacement right. Charles right? .... She asked.

Me " yes you are right.

I am the principal of this centre , my name is ms chan .

Ms chan continued ...

Chan " we are setting off to changi ferry point chalet no 7 . U know how to get there ?

Me " yes I do.

Chan " great I will follow behind your car. I not good with directions especially so at the east side of spore.

Me " sure .

I assisted to load some of the items into the back of the car. Ms WEN took the front seat and four other teachers squeezed behind.

We arrived at the chalet .

Being the only male person around , I was task to carry and set up the heavy stuff.

I was all sweaty after all the set up work. An in coming SMS beep on my phone...

ms LO " pick me up at 8pm from office,"

Rats... Looks like I have to put in OT tonight.... I complaint under my breath.

Wen " u ok ? "

Me " oh yes, I am ok. I need to head back to pick up my Ms LO . I will be back later"

Wen " great , u may wish to dress down since u are heading back first"

Me " good suggestion , I will "

I shifted the gear to D mode and drove off from the driveway.

Decided to head to Lady V apartment to rest instead. Took a shower , set the alarm at 7pm and off I went to sleep.

The HP blast sharp at 7 Pm. I took another shower . A hot one this time. Splash on some body cologne and head out the shower room to get dress. put on a fresh short sleeve white collar short . tuck it out , wearing back the same black pants. Ditch the black leather shoes for A black sneaker .

At 730 pm just about I was to head out the phone beep.

LO " I got a urgent conference call, there is no need to pick me up. U head straight to the chalet to help them out"

I replied ok .

I did a detour went for a car wash and fill up the petrol tank. Arrived only at 820pm.

There were abt 15 pax at the gathering . I was surprised to see teachers , I was expecting parents of the children to come join in.

Maybe they did came and left early . I could be wrong.

I went up to the principal Ms Chan and informed her that Ms LO is not coming,

CHAN " oh what a pity . Of course you can stay on ! Why are you asking permission. ? Come have some food. .. Relax your boss is not here

She winked at me. I smiled and nod my head.

I went to get a packet green tea and was intercepted by a female teacher

" drink this fruit punch " ... She insisted .

I took a sip . There Is alcohol in the mixture, very likely vodka with ribeena,

Thank you..i replied back ,not wanting to offend her .

Wen " u are here.

Me " u got sun burnt ? "

WEN " hurh ? Or my face is red is it. Must the alcohol. One of the staff pour it in as soon the last parent left the chalet "

I was bombarded with lots of food and questions by the teAchers.

Wen " give him a break lah, of course he is attached lah. Such a good catch can't be single rite ?

I gave her a weird look !

One teacher shouted " u are not GAY are you ! "

They laugh..

Me " no , are u all L plate ? "

Laughter broke out again...

Another teacher replied " don worry WEN is not ! Some of us here ....well......."

Me " who is staying over later ? "..... I threw a question fast , not wanting an answer to e previous question.

Wen " u want to stay over ? "

Me " no , I got to work tomorrow .

" so do we ". ... They all replied back In unison.

Me " wah.... Steady arh u all. I cannot . Getting old leh "

" who dares to say the word old ? ..... The principal posed the question .

Me " sorry Ms Chan, I ..... I stood up fast and was about to explain.

CHAN " hahahah,,,,, got you. This is R & R time . Relax.

The girls burst out Into laughter, after trying very hard to control themselves.

She went on " u think I don't know u gals put alcohol inside the fruit punch......

She walked away. Not wanting an explanation.

Wen " hey Charles u know this place got ah guah right ? "

Me " yah why ?

Wen " hey later when SHE ( pointing to their boss ) goes back . we sneak out to see? "

Me " can, u only arh ?

Immediately, two other ladies put up their hands.

Me " ok ok. Offer closed. No more add on later arh !

I could tell WEN was tipsy. She keeps drinking more of the alcohol fruit punch. The gals started to speak In dialect .

It was already 12 midnight.

The principal started to make her departure.

CHAN " ok gals tomorrow all must show up for work . NO MC ok. But we take it easy tomorrow ok. "

Yeah.,,,, the gals cheer.

Me " are u ok to drive back ?

Chan " I am staying at Loyang area only , no problem.

Me " I think u better not drive , anyone in your family that can drive ?"

CHAN " yes my husband . "

Me " ok I sent u back in my car , after that I bring your husband over here to get your car. "

CHAN " thank you so much. "

The ladies started to assist her into my car and off I went.

Me " Mr Chan. Sorry to trouble you to drive the car back."

MR CHAN " pls , I am the one truly sorry to cause you so much trouble.

Me " not at all. We are here already "

MR chan quickly put out twenty dollars from his wallet and stuff it In my front shirt pocket.

Me " no need sir "

MR CHAN " nothing much , u buy the staff hot drinks later. "
