Hi All,
I tried to apply entry visa for my GF for ROM in Singapore but rejected by ICA
She never visit Singapore before and this is the first attempt for visa application. If I want to appeal, what should I do and who should I approach ?

2. Why are you applying for VISA for her? She should apply herself in her country?
her hometown quite far away from Mission of Singapore

3. She ever commit any offence in her country or?

4. Are you sure she never come to SG before? You checked her passport?
Yes, she only get her passport on March 2008, and this is her first passport

if it is,i heard from friends that its normal for ica to reject without any reason.maybe you can try after 2,3 months or maybe ask her to try at her hometown.
try attach the rom date together with the visa application,should not be a problem.

Sorry but I just kind of find it weird why ICA reject anyone who never been to Singapore and never committed any crime? If she approach an air-travel agency to come Singapore as a tourist, the tourist agency don't help them make the visa?

When you say she live far from MISSION Singapore i think you mean HighComm Singapore? Like that everyone in her hometown can't go tour liao? How far? country side where there is farmland only?

Did you ask ICA why the visa you applied for her was rejected?

Did you know if someone ever repatriated back to own country from singapore, he/she will not be granted an entrance to sg?

ICA didn't give any reason regarding why they reject the visa application,
and didn't email to me to explain the result. I know the result thru their online query system. They didn't leave me any channel I can appeal. That's why I post here to seek for help.

Her hometown is far away from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu, and she's not live in any of the cities stated in SAVE system.

I'm sure that she never visit Singapore before, but I can't reveal much abt how I know this. I understand what you suspected about....but this is not the case

If not then get hold of her passport/id copy info and apply ROM date. Print out the info etc. Walk-in to ICA and do a manual enquiry and apply on the spot if possible. I'm sure in ICA there is someone there at the reception counter who can assist you. Alternatively is she apply at china city.

Just wonder what if I file for ROM at May and ICA's approve her visa on June, can I file for ROM at June again?

if u file at May,
u cant cancel and re-apply at june.

in order to apply for a ROM date, both had to be resident within Singapore for at least 15 days.

to apply visa for ROM you neeed to book a date with ROM, you can do it on-line. then print out the confirmation and that will be your basis for applying visa. but 1st you must make sure you fulfil all requirements stipulated by ROM

bro,you should do it the opp way.
get a date at rom,then apply visa.this way will be easier as you got a proper black/white and valid reason for her to be here.

Hi guys, recently i came to know of 'agents' who can offer guaranteed long term stay to foreigners (usually PRCs) for a fee. What they do is help them apply for 'business visas' valid for 2 years. The fee depending on agents can range from SGD5000- 10,000. Is this some kind of scam? Coz i dun wanna see my g/f get cheated.

i have heard of PRCs prolonging stays with student passes, PDMM & even fake marriages but 1st time heard of this business visas.
For discussion, if spending money to prolong stay which in your views is the best way to go? Kindly share, thanks.

I know of 1 PRC WL who has a two year visa -- I don't know whether it is a social or business but she did tell me she paid about S$10,000 to a agent in PRC for it.

However it is still subject to a entry visa from the ICA. Whenever she come to Singapore she will be given a two week or 1 month visa. She can extend for another 2 week or 1 month depending on the discretion of immigration officer.
