In china, everything is possible, even FAKE DOCUMENT as long they willingly to pay.....they came so far is to earn $$$, they will slowly request you to get their PR here, then they marry with u for 3 to 5yrs, later then divorced with you to get half of yr wealth....many PRC knew abt singapore laws....it better to play safe bro....can u tell me heartly u trusted yr PRC wife 101%? What IF u kenna the above situation, how are u going to react? At that time, everything is GONE..... Not all PRC are that bad, just be careful...We play our part as singaporean.

do i indicate her martial status as single or divorce in the Form 14. Also, what documents should i show to the ICA as proof of her marital status. She does not have an official divorce certificate as her marriage is only customary. Would a certification by the Civil Registry Office be sufficient?

I confirm your statement is true, my PRC wife never even completed her Secordary School in China, I manage to apply for her PR during 1st try.
Important thing is to be truthful to ICA.
The reasons why I said you are bullshitting sometimes is:
1) my brother himself dont earn even 1.5k per month and still got his wife PR followed by Citizen.
2) I dont earn 3.5k per month and my wife got her PR on 1st try.
3) Both my sis-in-law and my wife dont have a degree.
4) I dont even apply for LTSVP for my wife but straight for PR.

So if it is as wat you say ICA is very strict for LTSVP, I will presume that PR will be even stricter....No degree No 3.5k but still can get PR....maybe luck...maybe
U & yr bro it's past liao.how long ago liao?...u ask those who apply now and then.....it very hard for them to grab LTSVP for their wife/gf nowadays ESP PRC.....that girl u mention is got her PR is due to yrs of working in singapore, and did not have bad records during her working period....those who wish to get fast PR, must work with govt. related job or been working here for years without any bad records filed.....ICA will check yr records to understand the movement of u and yr wife before approved her status here....

This is absolutely rubbish, ICA is not concern about ppl entering Sg whether they are Single, Married, Divorce, widow or whatsoever. Their main concern is whether the person is a threat to Sg. And if they deem not a threat, do they have a trustworthy Sporean/PR as a sponsor?
Whether the PRC is a single/married/divorce is check by ROM when you register.

I have a question with regards to marrying a foreigner. My girlfriend is from PRC. She had a customary marriage before but has been divorced from her ex husband since. When applying for a visa/social vist pass for her, do i indicate her martial status as single or divorce in the Form 14. Also, what documents should i show to the ICA as proof of her marital status. She does not have an official divorce certificate as her marriage is only customary. Would a certification by the Civil Registry Office be sufficient? Really appreciate any advice on this.
