Careful when you are in Huizhou or danshui..... there were police at hotel lobby at night and luckily we did not bring any girls back because they stop them and ...... (saw they stop some poor guys with chicks)....

We saw the group of 4 guys and 4 mei meis was escorted to a police vehicle (we were lucky because going to GZ fair the next day ... so did not bring any mei mei back with us) ... We sat the there to see the outcome ... and heard that they will be brought to jail and processed ... if foreigner then passport will get free chop and registered from them (Call Chicken) and must get bail from wife or parents .... mei mei not only bail by parents or husband but village will post notice that they r chickens. So be careful when bringing mei mei back to room.

if foreigner caught in vice raid, will he be deported from china after being processed at the police station? the part about being bail by wife or parents only applies to the local prcs and hong kongers,
say if one is singaporean or american or japanese, how would the police expect our family to fly all the way to china to bail out?
also if we are caught in vice raid will the police inform our country's embassy?
i am sure all bros here will not visit china when the chinese new year is just around the corner, beside vice raids during chinese new year it will be a huge shutdown in china, banks, shops and food stalls will all be shut down except mcdonalds

My good pal's cousin was caught a few years ago in Shenzhen when he was with a chick at his hotel room. He was jailed in a crowed roach infested cell with another 20 others for a week (without bath and lousy food).

Then one day they were all transported to a crowed street (later found out 东门) and asked to wear a big sign on their neck (which have their name, age, where they r from, what offenses they had committed etc.) and were escorted to parade around the crowed afternoon street where everyone were looking at them and a few press clicking away.

Once this was done they were brought back to the station and was asked to contact his wife to bail him out (luckily he is not Taiwanese.... where your martial status in indicated in your passport) and he told them he is not married. They then asked him to contacted his parents and he told them they are 80 plus ... but he say he can call his brother to come and bail him out. They agreed and thus my friend (cousin) packed his bag on off to Shenzhen to bail his cousin out. He was given a formal written warning about the laws he had broken and had his passport stamped (called Chicken) and records recorded into their vast database.

FYI .... He immediately declared his passport lost and made a new one after he was back to Singapore. Also he totally gave up his favorite hobby (calling chicken) and going to china.

you mean your friend flew all the way to china to bail him out? the chinese law
only allows a maximum of 15 days detention for vice related activity
even if your friend did not bail him out, the china police have to release him after 15 days in the police lock up,
i guess it is still safer to play in geylang than mainland china nowadays
just my 2 cents point of view

Heard from him China can charge a foreigner by either going to trial (which means hiring a lawyer etc.) or paying a fine and get booted out of china with stamp on passport and information keyed into database. The penalty for vice related offences is six months to two years of hard prison time for both the girl and the customer.

Thus the police can either keep you lock up for the max of 15 days after which can either charge you and put you in jail for 6 mths to 2 years or ask you to get someone over to pay the fine (which means they can hold you longer than 15 days depending on how fast you can get your wife or parents or any other relative to pay the fine. (They can hold you under the law for 15 days max ..... but can hold you longer while you get someone to pay the fine for you ..... meaning more than 15 days ..... or get locked up formally for a min. of 6 mths to a max. of 2 years in a formal prison.)

Yes, totally agree with you, I was at CP also before I came back. There were no police at CP hotels when I was there but the place is now a dead town.

Actually there's some check on ktv about 2-3 weeks back.

Just when some ktv are starting to get things going, the new police chef put out the fire.

Seems like nothing much is going to change within this year.

Seems like the good old days will never be back...Partied hard in 2006-2010 and never regretted a single moment. I was a beast back then haha

Still remember KTVs in HuiHua, Miraton, Prince, Ouya, Royal Garden and the rows and rows are prime meat for us to feast on. Supper/Lunch at Man U Cafe and sex spa after lunch

Just returned from a short trip.

Spent a day in CP enroute to HK.

Walked in at Hui Mei and gotten 188 RMB for a 4th floor room (big & former sauna room with see-through glass wall separating shower & room and ceiling mirror).

Did a bit of people watching at lobby and noticed a bit of activities with a regular flow of presumably BBS girls going in and out of hotel (in/out of hotel lifts).

Some punters also arriving in MPVs. bringing back memories of the good old days.

Many shops have closed, some old ones still surviving through innovations. Noticed quite a few cafés sprouting out all over the place.

Went to PZL, did my hair and blu ray disc shopping as well as my favourite supper and left after breakfast the next day.

Not sure if I would ever go back to the once illustrious CP...sigh...

also the current exchange rate is not as good as in the past when 1 dollar to 5 yuan was the norm
gone are the days when playing in china was cheap
now china esp guangdong is truly expensive
