Balai batu are at the west side off btm, whereas, Tg. pinang is at the South East side.
Punggur is at one of the south east point of batam that facing bintan.

Just got back from a short trip. We got a lot of info from the members posting to this thread, hope that this post can help other noobs like us.

ST
There are many massage and spa places clustered around the Pagoda Hotel and on the next street opp DC Mall. We were quoted IDR600k-900k for ST. We got there around 3pm on a Thu and the girls there were 4s and 5s, we saw only one who was a 7. You might hv better luck if you get there earlier.

LT
There are several booking or LT joints near the Hana Hotel area. LT means 3 shots or until 7am the next morning. You might get more than 3 shots if you're young and hansum . If you're not sure if it's a LT or ST place, just ask the front desk if they do booking or massage. Prices are IDR1300k - 1800k. We were told to get there around 12-2pm to get the better girls.

Mawar Massage (opp DC Mall, same row as OYO 664 Hotel). We got there abt 3:30pm and the 10+ girls there were 4s and 5s. Price quoted was IDR1400k.

Sekar Massage (opp Hana Hotel) - we got there abt 3pm and there were maybe 4 girls who were 6.5-7. The other 10+ girls were 4s or 5s. We paid IDR 1500k each for a 6.5 and a 7.

Memory KTV (north of Hana, next to New Hotel). We went at around 8pm and 3:30pm (Day 2), 2-3 girls were 6.5, the other 8-12 were 4s and 5s. Prices are IDR1300k to 1800k.

Links KTV (near Memory, next to Podomoro restaurant). We went at around 8pm and 3:30pm (Day 2), 3-4 girls were 6.5-7, the other 10+ were 4s and 5s. We saw at least 3 other 7s but they were already booked by regular customers (they take phone orders, for pick-up and delivery ). We paid IDR1700 each for the 7s.

Bars (area west of Barelang Hotel)
Very few customers. Many of the girls were quite pushy, repeatedly asking for lady drinks (IDR65k-100k). A jug of draft beer was around IDR400k. We saw a few pretty ones (7-7.5) but they won't go for ST or LT. These bars are a good place to spend a lot of money for 0 returns.

Sintai - taxi driver told us abt this out of the way place, west of the Batam Hills golf course, where there are bars and ST places that cater to the locals. Maybe some of the more adventurous board members can check the area out and post a report? The cab driver said it's like the Dolly area (since torn down?) in Surabaya.

Its far. Need to trsf to Oceana or Marina ferry to Pinang. It would be convenient time and cost saving for him if theres direct ferry fm BC/Skg to Pinang. Think thats what he meant. Tried before.

From my recent trip, custom not involved in any of this. When you arrive at harbor bay, there is a lane where they check your PeduliLindungi apps. If no submissions then you can show them your hard copy cert for 3 vaccinations and they wave you through to immigration. For return trip, horizon ferry counter will ask if you submitted the sg arrival card. Just show them on your mobile and you good to go. Immigration and customs don’t bother all these. Hope it answer your questions.

We uploaded vaccine certs to the Pedulindungi app but the status remained "Waiting for approval" until we reached Batam. Some immigration(?) staff did a manual adjustment to app so that we could check-in to the ferry terminal then they let us thru. Until the day we left the status remained "Waiting for approval". We also printed out hardcopies of the vaccine certs but not one person asked to look at them.

For car rental, do a search for Salsarentcar.

For Day 1 we rented a Daihatsu Xenia with driver (12 hours) since we had a lot of luggage. The cost was IDR450k. The driver picked us up at the ferry terminal and brought us to the hotel, then drove us around while we checked out the different ST and LT joints.

Thanks bro. I would not wish to venture to another strange place or ferry terminal especially where they are lots of locals. Had very bad experience with them at old sekupang during the late 1990s.
