Happening Discos/Clubs in BKK

Hello everyone, booked a hotel antara sathorn recommended by Tim, been reading through the thread for past few hours to try to get some info where to bring my friends this weekend its our first trip to bkk so quite green. Gathered everyone is recommending soi cowboy and maiake so thought to try those . Can any one recommend one more place as we would be there for 3 nights. Many thanks!

Suvarnabhumi Airport congestion to ease soon

BANGKOK: A plan to relieve congestion at Thailand's main Suvarnabhumi International Airport by moving low-cost airlines to the Don Muang Airport should soon cut the number of air passengers at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport by 10,000 per day.
Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited or AOT Vice President Somchai Sawasdipol, who is also Suvarnabhumi Airport Director, confirmed on Tuesday that low-cost airlines are scheduled to move from the Suvarnabhumi International Airport to the Don Muang Airport on Oct 1, 2012, including Thai AirAsia which serves growing passengers, reports Thai News Agency.

Somchai said AOT will also operate shuttle buses between both airports as of Oct 1 to facilitate passengers who need to travel between both airports, with four shuttle buses running from 6am to 10pm every day and departing from both airports hourly through expressways.

Somchai said that the number of passengers at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport should drop by some 10,000 daily, from 130,000 daily now, as of early next month.

Meanwhile, AOT celebrates the 6th anniversary of the Suvarnabhumi International Airport by decorating passenger terminals with world-renowned Thai orchids.

A few more places for your consideration:
- Sukh Soi 33 (upmarket coyote and hostess bars,expensive)
- Climax Sukh Soi 11 (after hours club) lots of freelancers, basement of Ambassador hotel)
- MiXX Club at Intercontinental hotel (after hours club)
- Spassos (upmarket club at Grand Hyatt Erawan, lots of freelancers, expensive)
- CM2 disco at Novotel Siam Square, mostly Russian and CIS girls
- Q Bar Sukh Soi 11 (upmarket with fair share of freelancers)

i'm no stranger to the bkk scene but have never tried Qbar. Maybe i should take a look since i'm staying nearby. Bedsupper club was boring though.

You guessed right, I am farang. But living sround here more than 15 years already. Yes the places I suggested are frequented mostly by farangs, but I go to other places as well. That said I like some of the mentioned places. If you go Agogo every night it gets boring after a while.

Qbar is a hit or muss kinda place. Some nights can be great others boring as BedSupper Club. I think Wednesdays is ladies night at Qbar so more birds around.

2 years ago funky become from bad to worst. Wise choice, nunglen! Many SYTs hanging at the bar counter there. Finish nunglen, go to WIP! Ultimate combo!

U guys still young, enjoy crowded area. I only go there once in awhile. I more into wines bar now. Less crowd, mostly office ladies drinking red wines, listening to soft music.
