So is Afa using 4th gen Elisa or rapid test? Does both test for antigen and anti-body also...I read up DSC site that both are equally accurate and reliable but need to confirm...

AfA employs the rapid test which tests for the antibody. DSC and most other clinics in Singapore use the 4th Gen test, which is gotten by drawing blood from your veins. Irregardless, from what the AfA counsellor mentioned to me, most people would develop antiobodies within the 4th week of exposure, but some others develop it after. That is why they have this 3 month window period.

I went for my blood test again today (5th week) and now waiting for the result.

I did not goto AFA but went to a GP...

Now i am crossing my finger and hopefully everything turn out to be okie.

It has been a painful process ......

Yah bro, know how you feel and what you are gping through...same thing I am going through now...I will go for my test again at 8th week. Really feel not worth going through all this shity worry just for a moment of pleasure.

result is out. I am clear for 5 weeks mark. Now waiting for 3 months mark before the test again.

All the best bro kellogs. I know the next 7 weeks will be like forever for you. Try to keep yourself occupied and time will seem to pass faster. Drink lots of water, rest and exercise more. Stress and anxiety can make you ill. You need to keep yourself in tip top shape. Have you gone to DSC or other clinics to check for other STDs? If no, i would advice you to do so. Also, i would advice you to ask for a syphllis blood test when you go for the next test. Take care!

I have done VRDL and other STDs test in the clinic and so far the result is negative.

Just call DSC for my result. So far:

a. NGU- Negative
b. Gonorreha- Negative
c. Syphils- Negative
d. Herpes Type 1 & 2 - Negative
e. Hep B- Antibody(Safe)
f. HIV -Negative(1st month)

Genital area no signs and symptoms. No discharge from penis, no pain on urination.

Now have to wait for 3rd month HIV result and I am retired from commerical sex. Only active in Sotong Club(KTV).

Dont worry bro, I have also have stomach problem but reading all the information, it is not an indication of HIV infection. Only way is for the conclusive test. I also try not to think so much...

Just went for my 8th week test at Afa and result is negative!!! Counsellor, which is a very nice Indian chap, informed me no need to come for 12th week test as my encounter is considered very low risk...so my 8th week test is conclusive...

The wait has finally ended and last night had the 1st raw bonk with my wife...good to be back...

heard that there is a saliva swab that can be purchased thru clinics to self test if you are HIV positive or not... i wonder if people who test it, and found they are positive, wat will their reaction be? its like end of the world leh....
