Threadstarter, i guess the greatest obstacle u're facing in your life is not your looks, but rather ur psychology - ur feelings about how ur looks is hindering you

We can look at things from a multiple perspectives :

Firstly, for gals, the looks of a guy is not really all that important - we have all seen how some really model-quality pretty babes dating guys who look so fugly & unkempt even their own mothers feel ashamed of them (hehe jokin)...

So it's a proven fact that guys who are below average in the looks department DO get sucessful with gals , and more importantly pretty gals

Next, u can also take consolation in the fact that LOOKS, unlike other aspects such as height or weight, is a subjective aspect. A guy who weights 100kg is FAT, period. But how do u define "ugly"?
A guy like Jay Chou with his single eyelid with drooping looks would be deemed UGLY by ladies from our mothers/grandmas' generation where a man should like Patrick Tse Yin...
But see today, someone like Jay Chou is considered a hot catch...

Of course, a guy's talent & wealth (in the case of someone like Jay Chou) also plays a large part in increasing his "attractiveness" in the eyes of the female gender- and these are areas whioh are within our control

So my best advice is - focus on improving areas of your life u have control : e.g. building a talent which can draw attention to urself (e.g. playing a musical insrument like guitar or the saxophone), read widely so u can come across as intelligent ( u can appeal to a gal by giving ur views on why oil prices have surged past US$130 per barrel and which stock u foresee would surge in the coming weeks), improving your outlook by getting a good haircut and going to the gym to beef up ur physique (or lose weight if u are already pudgy)... the list goes on as u see.

I can say that I definetly do not have the looks to attract or have any capability to get a 2nd look from any girl around when I was in 16 till now. Definetly fit the chio gf with fugly bf. Why? Girls want security and perhaps money. What you do that comes straight from the heart (and sometimes wallet) matters more than your looks. 95% of girls feel insecure if the guy is good-looking or handsome.

Be confident with yourself. Don't feel demoralised or depressed because of how you look. Being confident and offering security is what matters more. Sincerity and determination is what counts in the end. I doubt any girl would want a handsome good for nothing husband/bf that only leeches and bums around and lies to her right?

I give you 3 very simple advice young man.
You can't change the way you look but the followings are within your control and you can do something about it.

1. go to the gym, put on some muscles and get that 6 packed abs.
2. study hard
3. get a decent job $$$

we were all teenagers once. its ok to be looks-conscious but dun get too obsessed with it. do wat u need to do now n probably few yrs down the road u will grow out of it n no longer see tis problem as a problem anymore. i alwaz believe there's a market for everyone. juz dun set unrealistic targets like fiona xie lookalike etc. if u bother alot abt ur future partner's looks then accept it when pple bother abt ur looks.

that means i got hope of getting pretty gf in future

its very common to see couples in town areas where the girl is pretty and the guy is ... n vice versa...

life is not all abt looks TS.. we will grow old n age... looks won't last... its the inner beauty that last... i rather a girl like my inner beauty rather than like my looks(very low chance) or like my money
