Thanks bro for all your help, it did not strike my mind that the msg may not be in Viet cos frankly the gal that msg me is Hua and I din expect her to know HunYu Pi Yin.

I think haha123 explaination is the most accurate. I suppose the best way to find out is to call her and ask.

Not sure if there's such a word as qui... but if my guess is right...

1) Ong xa (husband) yeu (love) quy (precious) cua e (of mine)

2) Ong xa (husband) co (have) nho (miss) e (me) kg (or not)

To Recommend a good dictionary for learning tieng viet

You may have the same feelings as me that vdict.com is not very good sometimes. There are some simple words which cannot be found on vdict.com and it does not provide Chinese translation (As we know, some words in tieng Viet are directly translated from Chinese).

Recently I went to HCMC and bought a very good Dictionary. I would like to recommend this dictionary to interested brothers here. If you want to learn tieng viet but doesn't know which dictionary to use, you can try this one:

Tu Dien
Viet-Han
越汉辞典

...this site is great indeed.. I can't sing (yet), but everyday learning bit by bit... the cua, nho, co, han phuc, etc. - as I'm alone mostly <didn't go Vn-outlets> I can't practise well, just hope no one laugh when I "speak" in HCM...

Dunno when I would be 'eloquent' like VK, KT, the MIA-guy SS08, that also MIA JC kopi-boy..(oops, I mean 'boss') VL. If too eloquent vn-gfrens sure suspect...

SS08 never goes MIA lah
My tieng viet is not fluent at all.
