Can someone enlighten how does the CebuPac website work?

Yesterday I tried to book for a return trip to AC from 02/03/12 to 06/03/12 but the promo fares were sold out. I then tried for 08/02/12 to 12/02/12 but the promo fare was listed as Sgd $19.00 each way making the final fare total of Sgd $101.50.

This evening, I logged into the website again and the fares for 02/03/12 to 06/03/12 was available at Sgd $8.21 each way. I then checked the fares for 08/02/12 to 12/02/12 again and it was listed as Sgd $8.21 (SIN-AC) and Sgd $19.00 (AC-SIN).

Why is it like that? Seats that were sold out yesterday can become available today. And fare prices not consistent at all.

Buying tickets from the website like playing the stockmarket...... suka suka prices go up and down.

Singapore to Angeles ??

Something like ..

Jetski all the way ..

or .. fly to Dubai, then transit, and fly to Manila, then transit to Cebu, then fly to Angeles ...

or plain simply, RTF !!! Couldn't be tough, unless you never travel abroad..

Welcome to trying to understanding filipino/filipina culture. My advise is to don ask but ride with it.

Budget airlines work on a group quota system where a percentage of seats per flight will attract a certain price. The cheapest being quoted first. The second consideration is that PROMO prices have an expiry date/time. The latest PROMO price that kicked in last night was 999p for Clk/Sg.

I guess you were checking flights just as they were changing PROMO plans or when someone just changed his flight and an available seat appeared due to that cancellation.

I have my flights bought months in advance and more often then not, I regret buying it earlier cos a better price appeared. Like you said, its like a stock market. Just take and go. Don look back. Enjoy.

Re: Cebu Pacific 82p (S$2.40) sale now on.

Lone Wolf: LCC fares are like that .. based on booking and capacity, they mix and match the rates .. if there is more demand, price shoots up .. and if demand drops, then the price drops till they reach 'break even' utllisation ..

Note that Cebu Pac is reaping in money in cargo .. so the pax fares are as they want ..

Unlike Jetstar, or Tiger, where you can forecast the fares ..

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips

etsys: Agree with your points.

Another factor I like to consider in my flight booking, besides price is the timing of the flights. Cost of taxi transfers in Sg/Pi and available cheong hours adds up.

If you feel bad, just compare price with SQ Economy fare.. and then you will feel super happy even at the not-so-best price of Budget carriers

SQ economy always waver between 700 to 900 so.. 200 or so on Budget ? ah come on .. relax brother. .

The Lord, You rate me too highly. I am nothing special, in fact lower then most here. It's just that I happen to speak on a topic that's close to my heart..COSTING.

In fact, whenever anyone here speaks, I listen. Remember, Him that speaks all the time, learn nothing. Him that listens, learns at least something.

I was supposed to be in AC after my PE voting this Saturday but an event in Sepang Circuit on Monday force me now to fly into AC on Tuesday Aug 30.

Don be confused. He not wrong. He did not say its for Sg/Clk. More a Sg/Mnl. It's just a costings consideration for a flight of similar distance and proximity. I understand his point and agree with him. Its a matter of perspective. That is how we perceive situations.

Z: you are correct, I was putting it in perspective, compare SIN-MNL and see how the equivalent budget carrier cost, and that will make anybody feel happier
