Yah...words of wisdom from u and DYBJ .... Always spend within limit and never be a carrot.

Ultimately it is a job and they need money.... After they leave the singer job though is a different story.. So I always wait for them to end their stint before testing, after all, china is a short flight away.

More fun to meet them after they end their job and put down all the deceptions. Less damage on pocket too...lol

Sigh... I was like you lor, newbie at HFJ.
Let me share my story... I met a singer who had newly arrived. Really good looking and super nice composure. Hang big first time and then it got bigger and bigger as my sympathy grew stronger and stronger.

These are actually what I believe (you won't believe me):
- 没有人帮我订台，我不像她们有老公 (husband not here today)
- 这个月业绩很差，月底了还差X千 (can you top up for me)
- 你跟别的客人不一样，和你在一起很有安全感 (you spend like a carrot)
- 你别挂我了，帮我朋友挂一点，她很需要花 (you hang her friend, you feel obliged to hang more on her)

... there's a lot more of excuse that are 100x more exagerrated than above. You feel for them and you will fork out willingly for them. Some play on sympathy, some play on your ego, some play on your feeling for them.

It's an addiction. It's the whole package... the environment, the stage, the performance etc.,...

My singer gf looks stunning at the hfj, however when she is taken out of the hfj context when we meet for lunch, she just look and feel average...

I've come to the conclusion that I'm addicted to the experience rather than the goods...

100% true. Normally 1 to 2 years, you still can not stop it fully. Really a poor thing. Many singers are richer than their customers, they use iPhone 5, you check around, some customers still use Nokia. So JFK is sugarcane machine, make you dry.

Even if your head is fully aware that it is all an act, the singers are all actors (albeit some are better than others), your heart still urges you to go back... As a bro said only to believe 80% of what the singer tells you, your heart still chooses to believe 110%...

Its not about face, its not about ego, its an abnormality of the heart that the HFJ operators somehow managed to exploit...

The only way to face up to it is to admit it is an addiction, an expensive hobby that involves fixes of throwing some good money away...

Bro., how true! I went to Dong Men lately looking at the Uncle and Malaysian Datuk throwing money at the singers. You just won't believe it. That night was 做秀。. One singer made 20k another one No 30 has her 老公 there a datuk from Malaysia made 50k just that night. Do we make 50k or even 20k one day??

Sometimes, the "hubby" may only pay the company portion ranging from 10% to 30%, depending on the amount hang.

Again, trust NO ONE and NO BODY in the night scene, including what you see on STAGE and what you hear from the joints owners, managers, waiters(resses) and singers.
