Emmm,.. What I heard from my friend is that an AV officer was beaten up during one of the earlier raid early this year.

Another rumour is that the Big Shot officer in charge of Geylang had past on the baton to a 'SHE' officer. As we all know... woman sure won't pan chance one.

How true are the 2 rumours... it's anybody guess.

Yes la, heard informer was beaten.

Last yr raid starting somewhere mid Jul till Sep, some got HIV/Aids la.

Also, many fighting n gambling, that why tis yr b4 major event, must clean-up la.

I honestly don't think USA is particularly interested in the Singapore prostitution scene since they would consider places like Thailand and The Philippines bigger problems concerning that.
I also believe they have enough problems inside their own country with respect to AIDS/HIV.
However, there is a big difference between the picture of Singapore which the official authorities tries to sell to the world and then the real picture.
Outside Singapore GL is usually the only place mentioned as a red light district although there are obvious places like OT,JC and Tanjong Pagar. These places can only exist because the authorities allows it because all the girls working in those places are here on a social visa.
Funny enough, the authorities seems to direct more attention to the more hidden scene with OKT's although the chances of finding girls with AIDS/HIV should be pretty much the same all over the place.

AV officer beaten up by who?..the customer or the OKT..really silly to do tat as they will raid even more, then less lobangs liao

i wont b surprised that the head of AV now is a woman...these days lotsa highly educated women join the uniform group

Guys, 1 more thing is tat many jump "aeroplane", ICA record showed number of PRC's coming in but going back figure not balance la.

My 2 cents view is that the authorities want to keep the girls indoors so that on the outside the streets will look clean. They will also take action if there are complains from residents and tenents. They are trying to keep the streetwalkers/FL off the streets. The difference between streetwalkers/FL and "legal" girls is that the streetwalkers don't go for regular HIV/STD screenings and don't get educated on the need for caps during BJ and FJ.

Updates another raid happened in L18 behind shell petrol station again in evening at 7+pm. about 5 - 6 gals up van think it is viet or thai. Big chase scene. Thought i see police chase scene only in movies.

According to okts, these AV so on. almost every day raid. Even borrowed manpower from other divisions to help, even use civilian cars. Why they so on, got no idea.

However spoiled my GL touring coz no sightseeing.
