Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
MASCHERANO SIGNS FOUR YEAR ANFIELD DEAL Javier Mascherano today signed a permanent deal at Anfield and admitted: "This is the best moment in my career." The Argentine international has put pen to paper on a four year contract with the Reds, bringing to an end one of the longest transfer sagas in recent years. "I am very, very happy and now I can concentrate just on playing football," Mascherano told Liverpoolfc.tv. "I said all along that I wanted to stay at Liverpool and now that I have signed I can say this is the best and the biggest moment in my career so far. "From the first day I arrived at Liverpool the feeling was good and I knew this was where I wanted to play my football. It's good news for me and my family that everything is sorted and I know where my future is going to be. I just want to do my best for the fans and the people of the club. "I am at a top side and I know I can win titles here. That's the big thing for me. I want to be at a club where we can win trophies and have success." "We must be really pleased with the situation now," said the boss. "He has been a key player for us since he has been here and now we know he can be a key player in our future. "From the start we knew Javier was a player with quality and a fantastic mentality. We knew the player when he was in the reserves at River Plate but was playing for the senior national team and we had been monitoring his career since then. "He is young but he has great experience having played for his country. We knew he would be a good signing for us. "It's clear that he is one of the best midfielders in the world but he can get better with us. We now have a lot of good options in the centre of midfield and that's good news for the club." Chief Executive Rick Parry, who worked painstakingly to finalise the deal, added: "Our overriding thought is that we are delighted to have signed a world class player on a long contract and I know Javier is thrilled too because he was keen to have his long term future resolved. "I think this signing demonstrates two things. Firstly, that life at the club goes on despite all of the speculation to the contrary. "And secondly it demonstrates in very large measure the ongoing commitment of the owners who once again have come good when funds have been needed."

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Rushie was very involved as one of the trainers in Liverpool's youth academy...... until his good buddy Steve Heighway, the Director of the Academy was asked to go.
Rushie took a walk too in support of his pal.... remembered he was tasked with "improving" Liverpool's frontline strike rate a couple of seasons by Benitez who wasn't impressed by his training methods. It's good Rushie is still keeping in touch with soccer as I thought he would be too busy with his racehorses |

Next 3 games is at home,so i expect them to bag in 9 pts. After that 3 home game, the next 3 will be very crucial...away with scums and gunners in between the 204th merseyside derby..so if we able to collect 5pts or more from this 3 games..we all can expect to see our team in a real strong finish..Late peak..but is batter than no peak As for why our threads is so fantastic,1st all thankz to the TS,also not to forget the chaiman took his time out to organise the score prediction, but most importantly our disciplinary board that ensure our gathering go smoothly which is well supported by bros here Quote:
I)If im a multi billionman..dont say 5kp,i will even consider to buy out all the shares from the yanks.. 2)If i only got 5kp extra to spend, instead of joining the scheme,i rather make a trip down to Anfield to feel the heartbeat of Liverpool..Dont forget we got only 3-4 years to do so before Anfield become history.

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Rafa - I'm here to stay
Liverpool boss ready to extend contract with Reds Rafa Benitez is confident he will remain as Liverpool manager for a 'long time' as reports suggest he is on the verge of being offered a new deal at Anfield. The Reds boss' future has been questioned this season as Liverpool sit in sixth position in the Premier League and 18 points behind leaders Arsenal. Benitez, who joined Liverpool in 2004, also suffered a much-publicised bust-up with the club's American owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks earlier in the campaign following a disagreement over transfer policy. However, speculation is mounting that Benitez is set to be offered a new contract to extend his stay on Merseyside beyond the year-and-a-half the Spaniard has to run on his present deal. And Benitez, who takes his side to Bolton on Sunday, is sure his long-term future lies with the Reds. "I have confidence I will be here for a long time - not just for two years," Benitez told Liverpool's official website. "I have 18 months left on my contract but I have a lot of confidence that it will be easier next season and I am sure the situation will change in the future. "I have confidence that we are progressing in the right direction. At this moment the only thing I have in my mind is to progress with Liverpool and try to win titles "I am not looking anywhere else. I am really pleased here now and I think we will improve the situation in the future and that's why I want to stay for longer. "People ask me why I want to stay here. It's because I know we can improve, I know it's a massive club, it's a top side and we can progress. So I want to do my best and I think we can improve things." Benitez accepts that his side's only real aim is to succeed in the UEFA Champions League this season, but he is positive Liverpool can soon put an end to their 18-year top-flight title drought. "This year we can only work to win the Champions League and be in the top four," Benitez said in the Sunday Mirror. "But I am confident we can win the Premier League in the future. "We are disappointed to be so far behind this season and maybe it will take more time to close the gap."

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Moratti: We Can Score 15 Goals Against Liverpool
Inter President Massimo Moratti has sensationally declared that his team are capable of scoring 15 goals against Liverpool in their Champions League last 16 second leg. The Nerazzurri face an uphill task to qualify for the quarter-finals following their 2-0 defeat at Anfield in the first leg on Tuesday night. Despite this scoreline Moratti is supremely confident of turning the tie around. "We have yet to play the second leg, which will be in the more favourable conditions at San Siro,” he said. “If the crowd are as I expect them to be, it will be hard for Liverpool. I have trust. We have 90 minutes and we can score 15 goals if we want to.” Moratti also passed comment on the group of Inter fans who attacked Coach Roberto Mancini, first at Liverpool Airport, and then in Milan. "Those fans are the same people who in the past have sung songs in favour the Coach,” said the oil tycoon. “I hope they will return to this during the game, where everyone must be compact with the team. Being unhappy is normal, but this was only the first time. "We must be proud to be Inter, because we are better than all the others." Moratti was also at an odds to explain the reported falling-out between Marco Materazzi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Ibrahimovic appeared to blame the defender, who was sent-off against Liverpool, for the defeat, and now the pair are said to not be speaking to one another. "I do not know what happened, but I do not think that there is any controversy,” he stated. “These guys are friends, are always together and both attach great importance to overcome the turn.”
