fosu-mensah and tuanzebe may need more loans to gain playing time. gomes, chong and greenwood need time to develop

realistically, i think it will take many years for man u to challenge for the title again, because they are behind man city. city is miles ahead in the youth/academy setup & scholarship program, scouting, training facilities and of course, the money to buy quality players

if the core of mentioned players stay together, maybe they can challenge in 3-5 yrs *fingers cross*, and fans will be happy like fuck liao lor. man u hentak kaki since 2013, spent hundreds of millions only to go back to square one, wtf??? really LPPL max

during fergie days, fans expect to challenge for the title, now the minimum is to qualify for champions league. i think it is important to have a core of players to compete continually, rather than chopping and changing

4-0 was a very flattering score. Chelsea were damn unlucky not to go in leading at half time.

Expect more of the same when Utd play the stronger teams this season - defend and counter. Just hope they can be as clinical in counter attacks for the rest of the season cos I dun really see this midfield bossing games. Nor Rashford/Martial hitting 20+ goals each.

But yes, one of the positives is that Maguire and Lindelof look like they have been playing together for years, and Maguire seems to have the presence and not shrink like some big players do on the big stage. Wan-Bissaka also looks like a tenacious one in defence.

4th place is achieveable, 3rd place may be slightly too optimistic looks like its gonna be city and pool fighting for the title again. 4 teams fighting for the remaining 2 CL spots. man u have to get results whenever they play against the rest of the top 6 and overall be consistent. the way they punchek after the psg comeback and ended up missing out 4th spot, face palm vomit blood

if chelsea scored early on and did not hit the post twice, the outcome and media would be different, lady luck smiled on man u on sunday

the trio of matic, herrera and pogba was quite good, with matic and herrera protecting the defence and pogba given more attacking freedom. herrera is energetic and tencacious, why was he let go? its stale to state that man u lack a midfield general since keane left. the forwards can work on their heading/set pieces in the meantime, because the weak teams will park the bus when they play man u.

i think the maguire lindelof partnership is reminiscent of bruce pallister, stam johnsen and ferdinand vidic. the traditional man u defence consists of strong centerbacks with speedy and overlapping fullbacks, ogs is setting up the team this way
