No, you got it all wrong is not what is told to me by the handler but what I saw with my own eyes that got me shaking in my boots, you have to be there to see it, it was not pretty, tell you me, I have been in many night raids before, 18 years in and out of Jakarta; having a handler is great because he takes cares it for you.

Your hotel has a bar, not too much action there, 7km away is Kota, the Gelang on Jakarta. if you are brave you may want to head over to the ancol area, there is Alexis.

I will have to agree with most folks here about J-town. There is action everywhere. On my last visit there, I was in a 5 star hotel bar and there were these 2 ladies drinking say A and B. Chatted with them and was told that A had just broke up with her b-friend and was trying to "forget" her misery by drinking. I was about to leave them alone and B offered me her phone number and email so that we could meet up the next time. Needless to say I did contact them the next time. A was with her new B-friend and I was B's date. We did go back to hotel and wonderful sex. Not a cent was transacted. Later I found out that both A and B are married but their husbands were out of town.
These ladies are friendly and worth chatting to the next time you have a chance.
