Re: All you need to know about HIV
Hi i have a sex from a escort and halfway through the sex when we change position i saw blood on the condom, and when i confined her, she said is her starting of the period. I quickly stop the session and take out the condom. Am i still safe from any STD or HIV since there is blood on the condom ?

Theoretically the presence of blood would increase the risk of infection somewhat but there is no way of quantifying the increase without statistical data. As long as you have multiple sex partners or indulge in paid sex you should get tested regularly as condoms are not foolproof.

To add, in the Sandford Guide to HIV/AIDS Therapy 2015-2016 under the section "Conditions that Facilitate HIV transmission" Female to Male Transmission Sex during menses has a relative risk of 3.4 In other words, it is 3.4 times more like to get HIV if there is sex during menses |

Re: All you need to know about HIV
Difficult. Not impossible, but difficult. Honesty was the best policy in my case over these years. I recall a girl that checked my body first before she touched me. She was probably looking out for signs of sores, etc. We don't know what we don't know, even medical report also can mix up mah, so be careful and practise safe sex if it is accessible, perhaps.

Re: All you need to know about HIV
Hi PuNkDeViL. I think you don't have to worry. You were using Durex. It happened to me about two to three times before. I went for blood testing a long time afterwards and I'm declared free from HIV and STDs.

Re: All you need to know about HIV
UPDATE ON THE HIV/AIDS SITUATION IN SINGAPORE 2015 (JUN 2016)
https://www.moh.gov.sg/content/moh_w...ore-20141.html 455 new cases of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections were reported among Singapore residents1 in 2015. This brings the total number of HIV-infected Singapore residents to 7,140 as of end 2015, of whom 1,816 had passed away. The number of new reported HIV cases has remained consistent at about 450 per year since 2008. 2. Of the 455 cases reported in 2015, 93% were male, and 74% were between 20 to 49 years old. About 40% already had late-stage HIV infection2 when they were diagnosed. This is lower than the 49% recorded in 2014. 3. Sexual intercourse remains the main mode of HIV transmission. 97% (440 out of 455) of the cases acquired the infection through sexual intercourse, of which 38% were from heterosexual transmission, 51% from homosexual transmission and 8% from bisexual transmission. For the remaining cases, four had acquired HIV through intravenous drug use. The cause of infection for the remaining 11 cases could not be determined. 4. 46% of the newly reported cases were detected by HIV tests done in the course of medical care provision3. Cases detected via this route typically are at the late stage of their HIV infection. Another 29% were detected during routine programmatic HIV screening4 while 18% were detected as a result of voluntary HIV screening. Cases detected via voluntary screening are more likely to be at the early stage of their infection. When differentiated by sexual transmission, a higher proportion of homosexuals/ bisexuals (28%) had their HIV infection detected via voluntary screening compared to heterosexuals (3%). (Please refer to the Annex for details.) |
