The Singapore Community in Jakarta is coming together to observe our National Day. The Singapore Association in Indonesia (SAI) and the Singapore Women Group (SWG) is jointly organizing a gathering at the Singapore Embassy ground in Jakarta on Sunday the 18th August 2002 to commemorate the 37th anniversary of Singapore’s Independence with high tea and entertaining event.

The primary objective of this annual event is not only to provide opportunities for Singaporeans to get-together as a community to observe our national independence but also for Singaporeans working and residing in Jakarta to get to know their fellow Singaporeans in Indonesia better. Singaporeans who wish to bring guests of other nationalities are most welcome to register and join us.

Our Patrons His Excellency Mr Edward Lee, Ambassador of Singapore (SAI) and Mrs. Sonya Lee (SWG) will be joining us as our Guests of Honour at the Singapore National Day Observation. Members of the Singapore Mission to Indonesia from our embassy will also join us.

Bro, i haven't been following the GL thread for quite a while. Not too sure about Brudder A's (knn, majiam MIB like tat, Agent K & J) contributions over there.

Anyway, i'm back at Wan Jin on Saturday. You can read about my comments in that thread. No FRs and numbers mentioned though. Will tell you more when we meet up after you are back.

Transport ain't an issue. No problem heading back home even after the wee hours. 'Personal' transport service back to SG is provided at the Custom during those hours, at quite reasonable rate too. That's how i head back to SG at 4 a.m on Sunday morning. Anyway, i'm available anyday man. Just get the gang together!
