Onana is now the very weak link.
Makes things harder than it needs to be.
Wonder if ETH regrets it now.

It sure is worrying. Although not at fault for the 3 goals conceded at Molineux, it is disturbing he hardly moves at all. When he does, he looks like a lumbering Gorilla. Dua jiak but bo yong. Big size but useless.
So Garnacho is right after all.

DDG although look like a skinny monkey, his one handed saves are superb.
To top it off, he is agile too.

Still laughable when Onana started the season like a big shot. Even bawled at Maguire. Everyone say Onana is King.

Fast forward....now he looks like a flop. And Maguire had improved much.

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

FT

Man U 3 - 0 West Ham

A rare clean sheet with Onana in goal. Lol.

This time, the Red Devils held on to the lead and didn't concede any goals.
Well Done!!

Great opening goal by Hojlund to calm the nerves.

Garnacho gives a MOTM performance scoring a brace.
He was a contant threat when Man U goes forward.

But, worrying signs as Licha appears to be injured again.

This time they hv proven our theory wrong ...they won as u guys hv predicted them to...but it was still not a convincing win tbh...it shd hv been a 3-3 draw actually...their GK Onana was good last night he was alert enough to save 3 certain goals

Agreed with yr analysis...but not a convincing win...lady luck came to their rescue once again ...their Onana GK was alert enough to save 3 certain goals...if it had been a stronger team with clinical strikers like Citeh they would hv lost the match...but better than previous matches ..so wat was the problem with them ??...same manager n same players, now they play better...

Btw Dalot played very well last night ...saved a certain goal by Jarrod Bowen when this stupid MacGuire lost the fight for the ball (twice last night)..this guy really shd'nt be playing for the team as he is too weak when fighting for the ball n often loses it to opposition strikers

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

i like this pic as its symbolic of the quality of man u's youth with academy product mainoo already in the starting XI

hope it sends a message to the rest of the first team, prove to ETH that you are worthy of a starting spot or else a youngster will step up

despite this season being written off, i'm hopeful/optimistic of the squad that ETH will build around the youngsters (mainoo, hannibal, garnacho, pellistri, hojlund)

sidenote on rashford: rooney opened up about his drinking problems to cope with fame. it seems like rashford is in a similar situation (drank until he passed out in belfast) and he might be dealing with personal issues which affected his on-field performances. hope the man u hierarchy can help the players

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

Onana is too inconsistent, like Mcguire.
Maybe Onana can improve further, after all the defense is dodgy, but is there time to wait for him to maybe improve ?
Mcguire is a big part of the dodgy defense, and will not be a loss if he goes.

Varane may have a big wage bill, but he shows that he's worth it.

Some of ETH's substitutions in past games have been bewildering, but luck has helped him from time to time.

Just make it to top 4, there is still time.

Nah, nothing to celebrate. The war was long lost back in Sep '23, as I mentioned in my last post before unsubscribing to this thread.

Glad I did not watch any of those matches live. Best decisions I have made these couple of months.

Players these days, just do not have the mentality of Keane and co. where each match is 'going to war'. Will never see Keane accept losing 4 matches consecutively to a small club. Losing even one will see him chomping at the bits at the next one for revenge. This team has lost FOUR on the trot with no response. Even getting thrashed 4-0 once. (The one 'victory' in the cup doesn't count. It was a drab draw.)

I'm out. I might be back if the club changes owners, depending on who they appoint to run the club.

Till then, you guys have 'fun' watching them get slaughtered at the Allianz Arena and all over England.
Since then they've lost to City, which was expected, lost to Newcastle twice, lost to bottom dwellers Forest and Bournemouth, finished bottom of UCL group, scraped past League 2 Newport. Who else? Oh yes lost at West Ham too, though they got some payback at home last weekend.

Have not watched many full matches 'live' since my last post. Maybe only one or two. Still see nothing like the fight and grit of Keane and co. Yes, an odd few players have it, but we need that mentality in the whole team.

I said I might be back if Glazers fuck off. They've only put half a foot out the door thus far. Waiting to see how Ratcliffe changes things, but the appointment of Berrada is a step in the right direction. As was the shipping out of players over the Jan transfer window. Berrada made a very good comment that no player should be allowed to stay past 2 seasons if not performing. We have ended up with a bloated squad of instagrammers and tiktokers over the past 10 years. January biz was a good start.

Ratcliffe's right-hand man Brailsford is a huge unknown though. He did excellent with a cycling team, but that was largely due to Sky's riches allowing them to recruit top riders from other teams. Mercedes' F1 team went downhill and stopped winning after Ineos' bought into the team. Football-wise - their French club Nice has not seen improvement since they bought it in 2019, save for this season (which hopefully is due to Brailsford/Ineos). Their Swiss team Lausanne also languishing at the bottom of the Swiss league.

So, nothing much to see for the moment. See how it goes this summer.

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

Wishing you guys a very Happy and Prosperous Dragon Year ahead!
Huat ah!!!

Villa is 5th and Man U is 6th. But there is a staggering 8 pts gap between the two sides.

Villa manager, Unai Emery, is a wily old fox. And marking out star forward, Ollie Watkins should be on top of baldy head's priority list.
He scored 11 and also assist 10 in 23 games this season.

See you guys 12.30am later!
