It was newly opened at East Coast, just above McDonalds and very much talking point about it, I have decided to check out the joint due to an opportunity that my girl is working there, her second trip in Town while her first was in Club 99.
It would say that the venue is pretty spacious and the convenience of it will be the fact that it is just beisde a snooker / pool room. I understand that they took over ex KTV Home Club, setting up a Thai Disco which business sence not bad of an idea since many of us are turninig to Thai Clubs. I can't see myself much at St James or Ministry of Sound thought.
However, knowing the fact that Singapore is already pretty tiny on the glode, glad to see an old friend, DJ Kenny B behind the DJ Console and no doubt, he has the ability to drive the crowd to some pretty nice mixes of R&B and House music.
Some pretty familar faces from a singer as well previously from TD2 and her regulars as friends.
I must say that the dancers are pretty ok and as for the singers, not bad in appearance but singing wise, not at all the best if I am to compare with my regular joint at Nari.
Of course it is still at a acceptable rate (I have heard worst which got me leaving after 30 mins) and of course Jeremy, a nice buddy of mine (finalist of Singapore Idol or some Superstar Media Corp program if I am not mistaken) will beat the class and attention of it all. Thanks for him, I got dragged up the stage to sing and gosh... stage fright really got me crazy, nervously holding the mic and I can't seem to get my tune right. The male singer (forgotten his name) with long hair who always play clown is pretty good himself too not just the singing but the entertainment show as well. I must say again that the singers, a few of them are pretty sweet and Nat sings pretty fine.
One particular singer whom I chat with only work for about 2 to 3 days, considering new at Resort but she was transferred from Live Impact or something, she is sure cute and sweet looking.
If I am not wrong, there were dancers as well specially when the singers are singings to fast beat songs and they do have a section whereby the dancers will dance to the theme of a song right after the band. This is pretty cool. The last place I say doing this was at NG but their's is kind of bored after repeating the same thing day after day. You just knew what to expect next... hahaha.
I have no comments about the girls because my girl was with me almost the whole night till 3am, I decided to go so that she can focus in her work if not she will end up without any drinks for that night since she enforce me not to buy terquilas or Waterfall for her. Guess what, she was with a friend whom I personally felt that she is pretty cute and 'naughty' I must say... hahaha.
As for the drinks, should be pretty standard I guess and since there is a promotion now on their Chivas, guess the price of $158 will draw quite a number of crowd down. Good move.
Embience wise, acceptable till 1 or 2 guys smoking next to me turned me off if not, it is generally a good place to go but perhaps it will be a little far for a person like me staying at BT and furthermore, knowing my girl working there, I won't frequent the club often.
For the particular night, pretty much empties my wallet not so much on drinks but flowers.
Above is just my personal view as I believe, there will be different opinions about the place. Let's share to make the place better and enjoyable.
Cheers mates
I forgotten to add on... is botanical gardens there man... hahaha... I thought CT was crazy over flowers contributors but Resort was worst... hahaha... not a bad things lah for the owner and singers... but... hahaha... oh well... I did my fair job as well... hahahaha...
555!!! Bro.mazdamx5, I missed you out!!! I saw your friend singing "Bei Pan" with Jeremy la... But I went out for a smoke soon after that... I did hear you singing "Ni Na Me Ai Ta" while I was smoking outside, but not in time to see you on stage!!!
Nevermind, next time if we meet, please go up stage and sing again for me ok??? 555!!!
Erm, I don't know the price of red wine (if there is)... I've never open red wine before if I cheong these Thai clubs... But should be around $100 or less bah...
Still have around 3/4 bottle of Chivas left... Good deal @ $158... So maybe will drop by Resort in the next few days... But don't know why, my heart is always @ Live Impact!!! 555!!!
Hahaha... is always the case bro... if there is a reason for you to be there, it will always be your primary place.
For me, my heart is stolen by my girl liao so if she is in town now at Resort, fine and if she is in BKK, I am fine as well... hahaha... that's the problem with overseas relationship... oh well... 6 months liao... but glad that she is not that kind of money minded person, given the fact that till date, I only spent $90 (inclusive of $50 of shots which I ended up scolded by her for wasting money *sad*) on her apart from overseas phone calls, emails and MSN... hahaha.

Oh bro, so you were one of the gardener @ Resort huh??? 555!!! I am a fishmonger leh, selling only salted fish!!! 555!!! I am stingy in hanging flowers, especially knowing the fact that the singer you support only gets a mere 30%??? So personally, I would rather 'tip' the singer by sending a drink up to the stage while she's singing or bringing her out for a good dinner (if she's ok with it lah)... Doing either way, the singer will still accompany and tok cok with you during their break time... Sometimes, a 'tip' of $50 for her to drink on stage means more than hanging the $100 beautiful sash...
But it's ok lah, some singers like the bai tao (attention)... So they are more happy with the flowers...

I was god damn nervous given the fact that Resort is not small ballz... hahaha.

Gardener!!! Sad lah... hahaha... I still got to ask my girl, you angry or not... hahaha... she like "I know you like buy flowers for singers because they sing nice... I ok"... then jialat liao... no one to control my wallet.
I truely agree with you mate... 40% to 50% at the most they are getting out of it depends on the venue and that's why sometimes when I asked my closer singers friends from CT and Nari, do you prefer me to give you $50 with a drink or $50 flower? Normally their reply is cash but of course they also mentioned that customers want face and popular... hahaha...
Seriously speaking, it really base on individual. There are times when I just buy a singer let's say $20 flower, she can sit with me longer than another customer whom probably buys her $100 flower... like what you guys might agree with me, the impression that last.
Nevertheless, I am not there for 'special activities' but more PR due to a business I am planning to set up in BKK sometime early next year. Just doing some research and homework when I travel around Thai Club in SG.
