Indonesia Police Officer Shamed After Caught Having Sex

An Indonesian police officer has found himself on the wrong side of an angry mob after he was caught having sex with a married woman early this morning.

The officer, identified only as IR, was caught in the act in the district of Mojokerto, in the religious stronghold of East Java, at 3 a.m. on Thursday before he was paraded through the village as residents banged cans together to alert others to the adulterous affair, Detik,com reported.

Just when it seemed the officer would be beaten, he was saved by his colleagues from the Jetis Police force, the news portal reported.

Officers were also posted outside the home of the woman, Heni Herawati, to prevent it from being destroyed.

The pair were taken to Mojokerto Police headquarters.

IR’s mother burst into tears as she was told of the incident and then apologized to the public.
