Most of the information required for the application are the norm and quite standard (e.g. education level, income...blah blah blah).

However there are also other intangible factors involved especially on the ICA officer handling your application as he will also need to assess your potential future earnings and contributions to the country. In fact most entrepreneurs will be viewed favourably even though they have failed before due to the push by the government for more entrepreneurs

, this was one of the reason why they also relaxed the Bankruptcy laws.

Another important factor is also the education level and current occupation of the spouse (as you did not state the PRC's details). There was a time which the ICA even sent out invitation letters to those foreigners with MBAs working in Singapore to apply for PRs, something like a membership drive

I had a friend who married a foreigner wife and applied PR the very next day after the ROM and get her PR approved within 3 months. Both are grads drawing decent salary with a respectable job. Friend had been contributing to CPF for years and just divorce prior to the ROM. Given all this factors, I guess many issues still played a part with the usual suspects, CPF contribution, educational level, duration of marriage etc.

What Loney In China mention is TRUE, U can also getting married in PRC 1st , then endorse to Singapore, it works also after 3yrs...anyway PRC LIFE, less stress...hehe...

Can anyone tell me how long is medical examination report valid? My sis-in-law applied for online renewal of LTSVP & she got in principle approval but need to furnish medical report.......previous times she renew no need such documents.
