Justice Is Finally Served

Sometimes our religious friends get upset when we use phrases like, "Omigod, they increased the freaking Minimum Sum again!" Just because of three letters, we are accused of as calling on the name of The Lord in vain. One citizen was apparently hauled into court for the mere mention of a politician's name.

Thank God Mercifully, Judicial Commissioner Lee Kim Shin trashed the lawsuit that was the gag order that went awry. True, as the defendant acknowledged, there was a written revised agreement - price for her paid silence - stipulating that she was not allowed to say anything scandalous, untrue or defamatory about the plaintiff and the her family. That's not the same as talking publicly about members of the dysfunctional family. Such as passing comment on a parliamentary question about public housing prices which was broached by one daughter-in-law Foo Mee Har.

Clearly the good judge, like any fair minded citizen, saw nothing scandalous, untrue or defamatory about Foo's presence in parliament. Nobody pays serious attention to the stories of her near miraculous instant citizenship and party membership, or her hubby's monetary tussles with her employer bank. Similarly, nobody can be fooled by the argument that Madam Tan will not be able to live the rest of her long life "in peace and privacy" because of an innocent passing remark on some obscure social media page.

The defendant was understandably relieved, "It's like a burden has been lifted as this case has been going on for a year and a half". Consider this: for 1 1/2 years, the foreigner welcomed for her talent, into the country and into parliament, could not see through the waste of time and money expended on a frivolous litigation. If she can't provide decent advice for a little old lady, can she come up with meaningful contribution to the constructive politics of our country? The jury could be out for this.

The rich uses defamation suit, law suit to intimidate, bankrupt the opponent. It good to hear that Wendy Chan wins the gag order case.

To me WP has been doing that but in their own ways, own time, own target. But what has this case got to do with them?

WP can be effective Only after the PAP becomes the minority. When the day all the skeletons from the PAP closet are exposed, do not be surprised many will end up in Changi Hotel or have already sneaked out of the country. This can come about by appointing a new set of supreme court judges, military / police chiefs, ISD/ CPIB / CAD top personnel.
Heck, even the warden of Changi Hotel must be replaced. Afterall, it makes no sense to house the ex PAP buggers in Changi if they continue to enjoy fine dining, get a massage cum manicure followed by a dip in their private jaccuzi....right ?

Look like many are suspicious that within the closed dark cabinet there are much filth and worms. Maybe the stench is becoming obvious. Some worms would have died and some may morph into flies.

Here we goes another great thinker talking about Constructive Politics, I have hear so many different definitions may be he can educate us on his preferred definition. Why another one won't kill us.

Another great thinker talking about Constructive Politics here. I have read quite a number of definition what that meant by different people. May he could do us the honor of educating us on his definition.

Dark secrets infest cupboards of the rich and greed knows no bounds. We await the day someone will spill the beans on no.1 familiy's ongoing business tussle with the founding family of that other large private local bank. That one is a tale of cunning and betrayal of the servants, quietly gobbling up the wealth of the incompetent 3rd generation of the founding family. But don't pity any of them, they are all living in the rarefied 0.0001% of the elites.

These public idiots thought they can try to fool the public with these defamation suits. But they seem to be making a fool of themselves and end up in damaging their own reputation, if they had any to begin with.

So if they damage their own reputations as a result of their own foolish actions, should they not sue themselves also ?

It makes sense, isn't it if they are really that concerned about their own reputations?

The fool did more damage to his own reputation than any commoner could have accomplished in this tightly controlled island. This is assuming that he has any reputation to begin with!

Given the recklessness he managed his own reputation, perhaps the alleged damage inflicted by the blogger was trivial.

Unfortunately the way (in)justice is done in Singapore, $200,000+ damage award is a foregone conclusion.

The sue game, only the rich and pampered can indulge. Now the cudgel has passed from father to son. Flame-proof my foot - he gets more combustible as election gets nearer. As the saying goes, like father like son. Goddamn, has he inherited the mantle of the God of No Mercy?
