King Chou-hsin of the Shang dynasty (1558-1302 B.C.) has been represented as the first " Playboy king" in Chinese history. Frequency of orgasm has, like most other male sexual parameters, often been taken as defining sexual worth. The more orgasms the better, has been a general cry. It would not help the ego of most men to learn they can generally be beaten in this area by young boys. In the Kinsey data, in a series of 182 observed cases, 81 of the preadolescent boys achieved orgasm only once. 17 achieved it twice, 42 achieved it three, four or five times in succession, 30 achieved it from six to ten times in succession and 12 achieved it more than ten times in succession. The undisputed record was twenty-one orgasms in a row. One eleven-month-old baby boy managed fourteen orgasms in thirty-eight minutes, one eleven-year-old had eleven orgasms in an hour; a fourteen-year-old had eleven orgasms in four hours, and so on and so forth. It should be remembered that such startling multi orgasmic capabilities are generally lost at the time when orgasm is accompanied by the ejaculation of semen. At the same time there are some adult men who achieve high orgasmic performance over a long period. Kinsey records the case of one man who had three orgasms a day over a period of thirty years, and one who averaged 33.1 orgasms a week over a thirty-year period.

If the feminists want evidence of female superiority to men in the sexual sphere they should look to female multi orgasmic capabilities. In a "Playboy" interview with Timothy Leary we learn of the effects of LSD on a woman's orgasmic capacities -

Playboy: We've heard that some women who ordinarily have difficulty achieving orgasm find themselves capable of multiple orgasms under LSD. Is that true?

Leary: In a carefully prepared, loving LSD session, a woman can have several hundred orgasms.

That female orgasms can be reckoned in hundreds - in the most extreme cases - in a single session may seem absurd. There is a body of evidence however to suggest that such a possibility could obtain in fact, Brecher, for instance, quotes the experience of a male participant in the Sexual Freedom Movement - "I would estimate that she experienced between 100 and 200 orgasms during the 4 hour period. Her orgasms were quite obviously physiological; there was no possibility of 'pretending'." Pomeroy notes "one woman who was capable of from fifteen to twenty orgasms in twenty minutes". Cauthery and Cole declare that "the world's standing record is 100 in one hour," though they give no reference for this remarkable accomplishment.

Fastest achieved male orgasm

It is interesting to note how quickly the "preadolescent" can respond to sexual stimulation. Kinsey tabulated the percentage of the population who could respond to the point of orgasm in less than ten seconds of sexual stimulation. No less than 6.4 per cent of preadolescents could achieve orgasm in less than ten seconds of sexual stimulation. And a quarter of all those tested could manage orgasm in less than one minute. Kinsey notes that erection is much quicker in preadolescent boys than in adults; and some two-year-olds come to climax in less than ten seconds.

Fastest achieved female orgasm

We are all led to believe that women are slower to achieve orgasm than are men. This is a more complicated picture than it seems - not least because, as some have argued, coitus itself may not be the most effective way to arouse a woman. Be this as it may it is still true that many women respond very quickly to sexual stimulation. Fisher notes that in one series of surveys the average woman seemed to require about 8 minutes to achieve orgasm - "but it should be emphasised that there was a remarkable individual variation, with some women requiring as little as 1 minute and others requiring as much as 30 minutes to reach orgasm." If, in a relatively small research survey, women were found who could achieve orgasm in less than 1 minute it is reasonable to surmise that some would require only 40 or 50 seconds to achieve the same result. And doubtless there are some "freakish" folk requiring much less time than this; for instance, the women noted by Pomeroy who achieved orgasm 2-5 seconds after penile insertion!

All relevant surveys have shown men and women still having sexual intercourse when in their eighties or even nineties, though around three-quarters of all men are impotent by the time they reach their eighties. The oldest potent male in the Kinsey survey was an 88-year-old Negro, who continued to enjoy regular sexual intercourse with his ninety-year-old wife! It should be said that some cases of impotence in old men are certainly due to the absence of adequate stimulation: though it is arguable that sudden stimulation to orgasm in an old man could prove fatal as has happened.
