i think its call ip address lah!

so anyone got the new address 4 this forum?

you may tried nslookup www.sammyboyforum.com or u can do a tracert to www.sammyboyforum.com and see whether it works if not i think ur company has totally block the port for website sammyboyforum!good luck!u may up me if u like once u can access the website via IP address!
juz go click start and choose run and at the command prompt key in nslookup www.sammyboyforum.com and u will see the ip address below or tracert to www.sammyboyforum.com u oso can see the ip address !its that simple!

type ping www.sammyboyforum.com and press enter.

it will trace the IP address u wanted for that particular website...

here the ip address 216.65.76.62.

Normally if your company's IT department is any good, it will ban the site's ip not the site's address.

Maybe your company has updated their blocking policy to implement a full block of this wonderful site.

There are actually a few ways to access banned site though. For example use remote desktop/ VPN to your home computer then access that way (you are accessing through your home computer).

hm..no need vpn for him..as its a bit troublesome for him to set up vpn...u can use VNC (Virtual newtwrok computing)provided his home pc runs on static ip but in spore for broadband users i dun think so..!since he ever use ip add to access sammyboyforum...juz let him try as 1st level support above has given him the ip address by pinging...!
the firewall rule could have block it and he mentioned he use ip to access in the past...perhaps he may try access via ip...if not the firewall rules policy block it!!!!
after all he is a user make it simpler for him ...ethana may provide full documentations or liaise with him for him to set up vpn!!

If your company block it, they prob got good reason to do it.
So just abstain from surfing in office, and do that at home in your own privacy.

Coz if they block it, most likely they would track employee usage as well. Don't want anyone to get into any trouble do we.

To find the IP address of any domain, just do a lookup.

http://ip-lookup.net/domain-lookup.php

I'm not in the IT line either. If I want of find out something, I simply look up the subject on the internet and do the necessary research.
