Unlike other regional countries Thailand is one of the very few countries that will have repeat visitors over an extended period of time.

In terms of value I feel Thailand has long gone lost to Vietnam and Indonesia.
However Vietnam and Indonesia still have a long way to catch up to Thailand's overall offerings.

Most definitely this. Having been travelling to a couple of countries this 2 years for work, nothing beats BKK in terms of ease and options. If you don't have too much time to explore and just need to shoot, BKK has it all covered in most settings. This I guess has an increased cost.

The only other place with such availability was dong guan in its glory days 10+ years ago.
