The former chief of the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) faces charges of obtaining sexual favours from not one but three women.

According to the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB), Peter Benedict Lim Sin Pang is charged with corruptly obtaining sexual gratification from two female vendors and one potential female vendor to the SCDF in return for tenders on IT-related contracts.

The authorities are looking at 10 occasions that took place between May 2010 and November 2011.

Peter Lim declined to comment on the case, instead asking for "space", a Straits Times report said.

The man was arrested on Jan 4 by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) and was investigated under the Prevention of Corruption Act over allegations of "serious personal misconduct".

Another former top civil servant, Ng Boon Gay, was arrested for similar charges in December. Ng was the former director of the Central Narcotics Bureau.

The two are former government scholars and between them, had served more than 40 years in the uniformed services, according to The Straits Times.

Former Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) chief Peter Lim was charged in court on Wednesday of having corruptly obtained sexual gratification from three women - two vendors and a potential vendor - on 10 occasions between May 2010 and November 2011, as inducement for showing favour by advancing the business interest of their companies with SCDF, said the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB).

Among other things, Lim is said to have obtained sexual gratification from:
- A senior executive from a vendor, Nimrod Engineering, on May 10 two years ago
- Close to a year later, he was said to have obtained gratification with a senior executive from NCS in a carpark near Marina Bay Golf Course.
- The next month, in May 2011, he allegedly did the same at an apartment in Tanjong Rhu and a carpark near the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
- He would allegedly go on to obtain sexual gratification on three more occasions with the same woman at a Tanjong Rhu apartment and a flat in Clementi.
- Over October and November the next year, he alleged got sexual favours from another woman, a potential vendor from Singapore Radiation Centre SCDF in a carpark near East Coast Big Splash, and in a hotel in Paris, France.

The 51-year-old was arrived at court in a black car and walked into the building alone. He walked out on a police bail of $10,000. His passport was also compounded.

The former SCDF commissioner declined comment on Tuesday, asking to be given 'some space'.

Ten counts of corruption.

That’s what former Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) chief Peter Lim Sin Pang is facing.

He was charged in court today.

The 52-year-old is alleged to have shown favour to potential vendors in return for sexual gratification from three women representing different companies.
The three women according to a Channel NewsAsia report are:

1) Pang Chor Mui, a general manager at Nimrod Engineering
2) Lee Wei Hoon, a director at Singapore Radiation Centre
3) Esther Goh, a business development director at NCS Private Limited

Lim could end up in jail for five years and be slapped with a fine of $100,000 for each count of corruption, if found guilty.

His next court hearing is on 5 July.

The Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB), arrested Lim in early January for allegations of 'serious personal misconduct'.

Prior to Lim’s arrest, the CPIB also arrested former Central Narcotics Bureau director Ng Boon Gay for similar reasons.

News of CPIB nabbing both men was first published by the Chinese daily Lianhe Wanbao.
