went n check out 夜宴at云南大厦last night, a cat300/400, 600 place. nice environment, good sound system. most important lots of nice girl too.
they are having a 50% discount on room charge until end of the week, we have a small room normal price 1200 (can sit 4 guys+4 girls) this week only pay 600 quite value for $ la, just think about goin 4 a cat6 with cat3 room price.
Heard about the place from one of the KTV girls also, just re-opened this week. And like bro Mark Lim always says, when they say XXX/XXX rate, it's always the higher rate, haha.
Getting to realise that often enough there's not too much point going to a higher cat KTV since I know of girls who work at lower cat joints going to these higher cat places to work. But good to know there's another option and someone has tried it. Will also be interesting to see how the joint is after the 'new joint' dust has settled.

Sounds like tomorrow will be a lot of fun, too bad I won't be able to attend since I'll be out of Beijing for a month from tomorrow evening. Hope to catch up with you when we're both back in Beijing in late August then, haha.
Just a quick FR on a KTV some of the bros went with me to. Just happened to be a last minute thing since I will be out of Beijing for a while from tomorrow.
Went to 江西大酒店 where the mummy 付雪 is quite well known to the older bros here. (Thanks to bro and_alloy for first bringing me to her old establishment to get to know her)
Anyway, hardware/software for the place is pretty good and the room damage isn't too bad. (600 for 3 guys in a medium sized room and 800 if 4-6 guys apparently) Also to count is the mummy, waiter and (optional) 公主. Playability at the joint is extremely high now because the mummy has a strong stable of girls now from her previous locale, and when I say playability is high, that includes a little bit of chaos happening in the room to all the bros. Take-out is also available if you aren't extremely picky, the fun factor is definitely there at least but don't expect bombshells.
Guess it's a good place to chill if you are willing to travel and if you're looking very obviously for something to take back home with you, even though they are quite admanant about going to hotels/condos/villas apparently.
Btw, this is a Cat300 joint. As bro nameci said, dont expect the girls to be stunners, but I think we have the makings of a "Beijing BS" here.
