The superior room is excluding the 21% government tax and service charge.

Total for i hotel per night will be 77+16.17= S$93.17 but this is the Published Room rates on year 2010 which is shown on website.

I have just called up the hotel to ask the price per night and to my surprise, the price has been raise up to S$148 nett.

Notice that 4 or 5 star hotels always have alot of plus plus plus. E.g.+ govt tax + service charge + tips unlike the budget hotels.

Initially when a new hotel was just built and started business, they will give special promotion price. But once it becomes popular, the price will tend to shoot up sky high.

In my opinion, staying in budget hotel is sufficient or maximum i will go for is 3 star which is comfortable enough.

Not because i can't afford staying in a 4 star but as our sole purpose is to go batam to cheong have fun and enjoy the food and beers, so would rather stay in a cheap/average hotel and have more money to spend on cewek and massage.

lorong 12 ..i think bro ndnd knows...that area has a few KTVs...mainly for locals..not safe..just go there for a look for fun....60k ($8) for a shot..hehe!!!!

I paid $95 net for the Deluxe room at I Hotel. Damn big and spacious man.

Concurred with you. Indo amoi is already very ex to book let alone PRC.

Most of the PRC who came to batam is of better quality, most likely came from lion city and probably get a tourist visa to stay in batam according to my friend. He has ever booked a PRC once in a joint for S$300 overnight.

In my opinion, want to cheong, must cheong value for money. Example:
If want CKT and NL will go JB.
If want PRC will go geylang brothel.
If want tomyam (LT) will go hatyai
If want bakso (LT) of course will go Batam.

Buy local made products are cheaper than imported goods.
