if u want to follow the crowd it compete with whites and japa and Koreans and still get decent experience then just read forum but if u want more local experience and get better prices .eg jkta eGI without guide to Mali Alexia travel classic IMO sop Alexia malio 800-1j travel classic 350j but deadfish I will try again now but that was my experience I have this trip try kx mtr2 fm1 and mdka all 350k and all 4 gfe I also visit localisation 150k many young pretty girls...IMO local experience helps
well depend what you want
there are many location to explore, it just depend on how adventurous you are
even the local does not go location that is not suited to him demographic but if you are interested to be adventurous then you can write up your experience here

If you are traveling at night on the highways heading to central Jakarta, you will be able to spot the rows of 2-3 storey shop houses on the left beside a long river. Almost all of them have neon lights or similar lighting displays on the front. I forgot what is the name of that place. Tempted to try but my chionging buddy told me to forget it as it is too dangerous. If you really want to give this place a try, just be extra careful. Ask any taxi driver and some knows about this place and can bring you there.

it is called kalijodo, used to be one of the biggest unofficial localization.
i mention about it several post before, enter at your own risk.
there also some disco behind citraland that will be around that cost, saver than kalijodo but still enter at your own risk
I am from Jakarta. Been absent from night life for a while but I think these are the best places now:
1. Alexis hotel, near ancol: PRC, local, thai, vietnam girl. local cost 1.2 jura dan chinese about 1.8juta. you can go in hot pool with the girl
2. Emporium hotel (at pecenongan): same management as alexis, better local girl in my opinion, it has 800.000 and 1.200.000 girl. all local. you can go in hot pool with the girl as well
3. Malioboro near gajah mara plaza. Has 2 places in same building, malioboro and mallio club. both has stripper non stop. they have local, russian, PRC, and vietnamese.
