Think I'll stay Favehotel PB.....

I never been to JKT. Most likely I will try the DAMRI from the Airport.
But return, I'll use UBER.....
Quite wary of the notorious traffic jam.

I was doing some research and there is this DAMRI bus that plys between CGK Airport and Gambir station.
Is it worth taking this bus? Or just use UBER straightaway?
If I bought a SIM card at Batam, can it be used in JKT?

Trust me, do not stay at Red Star (Tune) Hotel. I think its suited for just a layover, not that it's horrible (it's clean but small and cramped/bare) but there are better options, especially if you can afford to pay just a bit more.

If you really must stay budget in that area, Try G7 hotel, new clean, more spacious w/breakfast. also Fave Hotel nearby provides good value also. For a bit more, RedTop and Swiss Bell give you more space, better food, gym, pool, etc..

planing a trip with all my friends to jkt this feb b4 cny.Had choeng cp for the past years, n last years was danshui but came back disappointing.

Had read almost all the post starting from page700, most info about maliboro,classic n alexis are all about spa.

Wanted to know more about how the ktv works in jkt,ect the charges for gals n drinks.

Hope any kind bro here can advice me thks

AFAIK . Blok M area a lot of karaoke and the girls/hostesses there can sing international songs . other places majorly can only sing indo songs .

Suncity i also can recommend , i met a singaporean with a friend together having karaoke session .

Based on the postings here, most likely I'll stick within Classic Hotel area....due to me being newbie and the terrible traffic and security issues.

Thanks. I just want a nice clean cosy safe place to sleep at night. Im not so particular with in hotel facilities becoz most times I most likely wont use.

G7 looks good. Worth checking out.

Is there any good money changers within the vincinity?

afternoon at 12 till 3pm , 5pm till 8pm epic jam .

jam area mostly at

Kota Jayakarta , ( central )
Semanggi 'butterfly' conjunction , ( south )
senayan area ( south )
jln setjen S.parman . ( central west )


Speaking of FLOOD in jakarta .
heavy rain downpour should be around early january 2016 .


pray that Bogor doesn't rain as well because their waters from the mountains streamed down towards jakarta

i am chinese lah , not prebumi lol .

i've taken the KRL line before which cost about 30cents . from Kota Jakarta to bogor . not actually that bad as what media has exaggerated .

but from what i heard from a friend who boards train regularly , their timing schedule is poor as they some time come sooooo late
