In spite of the the downside to Jakarta, I still prefer it over Bangkok because of the variety of fun to be had, the choice of cheaper options (also have pricey and high-end options as well), more GFE additude of girls, less plastic surgery, and the 'underground' feel of the City. Bangkok is so over-touristed, and everything is so open and easy/convenient, it may be better for a Newbie, but is not fun for a veteran like me. You really can't go wrong with either City, but if you choose Jakarta, you will need to do more homework as to the hotel you are staying and 'fun' places to visit, and maybe learn some Bahasa or rely on Google Translate.
For Bangkok more suitable for the lazy cheongster who wants convenience.

For Jakarta need to do a bit of research in order to find what you want without wasting a lot of time due to less ideal transportation infrastructure.
To me Jakarta's adult entertainment is super value and I must dare say a lot of undervalued stocks.

Agree. Bangkok better for lazy Cheongsters. Jakarta has a bit of a steep learning curve, but once you figure it out, it is way better and you can't go back. BKK = driving automatic car, JTKA = driving manual transmission: more fun, better performance, and cheaper to operate!

Not a straight forward comparison, as they are different playgrounds and offer different experiences and value...
In Jakarta, it can take you up to 2 hours to travel from the North to the South in rush hours, so it is important to pick your hotel location accordingly, and plan your logistics around traffic jam hours.

My meaning of "undervalued stocks" and "value" is RP350K ST and low beer prices at mid end hotel lounges such as Classic and Travel.
I can't get the same SYT quality (RP350K/S$35) and low beer prices over at Bangkok Soapy Massage Parlours!
The only bad point about Jakarta is KTV expenses are very expensive but if you just sit at the hall expenses will be cheaper than Bangkok G-Clubs.
Sitting at the hall and see striptease dancing is a must for all humsup los hahaha!
At those striptease/dance clubs it's not compulsory to buy LDs for dancers.
Best is ask mamasan to show you hostess line up.
Buy 1-2 vouchers for the cewek to sit with you and become your human shield.
End of the day if those who have bias for Thai looks/culture then all the pro points about Jakarta will be fallen on deaf ears.

Jakarta has been like that since I went there 30 years ago... and it is getting more fun... The gals are getting better... but for me (I don't really go to sauna) as a KTV guy, the best place is still Bandung...!!!! The Sunda SYT is the best and agressive in sex...
