I dun think they will raid high class hotels unless in exceptional cases..... I ever witness an incident in an Orchard Rd 5- star hotel. I was sitting in the lobby waiting for my friend to checkout and drive him to the airport. A group of plainclothes officers came into the hotel proceed to the lift lobby and were stopped by the security. They then moved to the side of the lobby where there was a discussion between them and the front office manager + security manager. Being the kaypoh that I am.... I position myself near to them and eavesdrop on their conversation. Basically the hotel managers were denying the police officers permission to proceed to the rooms and asking to see proof first.
After series of phone calls by both groups to dunno who...... the police were finally allowed to proceed upstairs..... but by then the front office had oredi alerted the room guests and ended as a wasted trip for the police.
