Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Disappointing 2nd half, sloppy work that led to CP scoring. Scoring a few more goals would boost the GD n stay on top.

Not sure if it's the mgr instructions or simply the players mindset that the game is won..to prevent injuries etc..

BR being a mid-table club mgr previously prolly empathize his fellow counterpart to minimize dmg to them...if it's some top club mgr..pretty sure they don't give any chance and go for higher scoreline ..if that's the case nxt time we we lead 1st h..2nd h don't need strikers anymore isn't it..since it's pointless and they will not have any support ..

Anyway 3pts & top of the table..enjoy the feeling 1st

Good for the results..but for sponsors, punters and fans is negative..

Well there's a lot of ways to look at it..paid millions for 45mins of football isn't that reasonable

At least show some professionalism and dominate possession ..but 2nd h was pretty bad for the heart from the faithful

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

apparently the reds are two half teams...similar to sunderland game, went 2 up in first half and allow sunderland to come back in 2nd half; same for crystal palace game.

Though we have SAS combo working, we are lacking the killer instinct to make the game safe. Problem will be when we go against the rest of the big 6 EPL teams.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

according to this report, BR demands more from both strikers, midfield not providing more chances for LS and DS.

can't wait for Coutinho to be back. if only we have Juan Mata and Aguero in our team

I differ in opinion. Putting a right-sided attacker on the left side of an attack actually does more damage and confusion to an opponent's defence than playing in the usual orthodox way.

With 3 goals in first half, it is normal for any professional footballers to slow down to prevent injury. BTW, it is not the players are not trying to posses the ball n play badly, it is the chasing team who has nothing to lose n keep chasing the ball n attack all the way.

This is football, a win is a win why will we need to be full steam ahead to score 10 goals??

Anyway, each individual has his own view and frustration but end of the day, soccer is for entertainment, dun have to lose sleep because all these.

Maybe.....just maybe......

Spurs got owned at home...
Arse got hold away....
If we had a few more.....against cp..we would be top..goal difference is important when you reach the end of the campaign ...

A nail in the coffin. Spot on with your comment. Park a truck in front of goal next time leading with this score line in the second half. Lol!

Cp could have leveled the score in the second half. It's just that they ' Pak jiao'! Cp nominated most of the possession in the second half. Again the mid field is weak. Can really tell age is taking its toll on SG .

An example would be Ribery and Robben. World class example, Messi.

Messi and Cristiano are probably the only few that they dictate where they play..mgr will give them a "free" role anywhere ..becuz they produce results wherever they are...

Anyway back to Liverpool...I hope we hold on to top 3 when Xmas comes ..I'm sure we will...

for the last 2 games, our midfielders were playing very deep n were over run by opponent, they were backing off and inviting opponent to take shots and crosses...
I wonder is it because of the 3-5-2 formation or BR's game plan...!?
Anyway, i'm not a fan of 3-5-2, and hopefully as BR explained, he played 3-5-2 because of the injuries and availability of players (hope not just to accommodate as many of our 4 quality CBs in a match)..
can't wait to see us revert back to 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3, with coutinho, suarez n sturridge n moses(?) in the attacks...
