    Crab Popiah 4.2/5 Check out how thin and translucent the popiah skin was. I tried the Crab Popiah ($2) which was filled with turnips, carrots, eggs, lettuces, bean sprouts and etc. To be frank I couldn't see the crab meat but I definitely can taste the sweetness of the seafood among the fillings. At Kway Guan Huat, you can also DIY your own popiah. It comes with a claypot of ingredients and popiah skins. In addition, they also have vegetarian popiah and kueh pie tee. Kway Guan Huat Joo Chiat Original Popiah & Kueh Pie Tee 95 Joo Chiat Road Opening Hours: Tues-Sun: 10am - 8pm (Dine-in) Tues-Sun: 830am - 11am (Popiah skin making demonstrations) Closed on Mon except when Mon is a PH.

Thursday raining spicy night ..
Roxy $$$$$ @ East Coast Lagoon Food Village  $$$$$ 4/5 This is probably the oldest $$$$$ stall in Singapore. Roxy $$$$$ started its business next to the current Roxy Square building before the old Roxy cinema was demolished for the current building. Unlike the normal $$$$$, no cockles are used in the bowl of delish $$$$$. Minimum $4, the bowl of $$$$$ came with thick bee hoon, fresh prawns, fish cakes and bean sprouts. The gravy was not as oily and has a light consistence. To me it is the highlight of Roxy $$$$$. Xing Ji Rou Cuo Mian (兴记肉脞面) @ Fengshan Market & Food Centre  I have to wait 45 minutes for my bowl of Bak Chor Mee Soup! The stall only sells the soup version which came with minced meat, meat balls and cut red chilli. The noodles were Q and springy. The meatballs were firm and nice. The soup was slurping good too. The disappointment was the minced meat. I find it too fine and could not taste them in the bowl of soup. I enjoyed having the cut red chilli with the noodles and asked for more. Initially I was worried that the stall owner will not be happy that I asked for more than what was given. However the lady I approached at the stall was very nice and asked me to help myself to them
