Silly silly! I think he could be hit with a 1 or 2 match ban which would most likely end his World Cup. Without Suarez Uruguay lack a distinct cutting edge upfront n have little hopes of progressing.

Honestly I was wondering if one of the two, Balotelli or Suarez, would do something stupid during the match. Luckily for Balotelli he was taken out at half time, unfortunately that left only Suarez. I still cannot understand why he did what he did...he was not under any pressure from the Italian defender just the normally tangling around...now too bad he has to pay a heavy price for his mistakes again..

He has single handlely undone all the good he has done...

If found guilty this time the punishment will be lengthy....... according to the FIFA rules book..... for a third offence of a similar nature under the violent conduct category the minimum penalty that can be imposed on the guilty offender is a 22-match ban.... rising to a 2-year playing ban depending on the severity of the offence.

Even if he is given the minimum sentence...... that's still more than half the BPL season.

What are the chances Suarez will face a club ban?

As far as World Cup is concerned it's d end for Suarez. Zidane only kena 3 matches for head butting, dun think he was banned at club level.

zidane mitigating factor probably its an one off thing and he has no record of such behaviour but suarez he has already been punished twice before that..and now to do it at the highest stage in front of the world wide audience...i got a feeling FIFA wants to make a living example out of him..

on the side, i can't help but feel those that calling for a heavy ban are BPL rival supporters...just last night news the people they were interviewing all wore that "moanrinho" managed team Chelski...they are hoping a long ban on him will affect Liverpool chances next season..

Next season Suarez will be playing for Barcelona.
Luis Enrique wants him and intends to rebuild the new team around Suarez.
And they are willing to offer Alexis Sanchez as a bait for Liverpool to sell Suarez to them.
