I have to agree with bro demonhunter. We still need money for basic necessities. Without basic necessities it is hard to live a carefree n happy life.

Would you prefer to be sitting on your back yard patio in a Sentosa bungalow overlooking the sea ....or hugging each other on your deathbed in a 1 room HDB flat ?

Being wealthy is having a better environment . A better environment makes you more comfortable .... being more comfortable makes you happy .

I do agree that we need those to keep alive but keeping love one by your side is really up to the love one. If he or she really love you and both of you are healthy why can't you keep yourself alive with those basic things?

We don't need to live in lavish type of environment or food. Simple is good. You eat a plain bread and a bread talk's bread what are the difference? Price only but in the end, you are still alive even you ate the plain bread, right?

But different people have different standards of 'living comfortably'

I have friend my age who got married to an indon tycoon. But the way I see it she likes like a caged bird in her huge mansion (no pun but it's sentosa also overlooking the sea) her husband doesn't allow her to meet any of her friends without his approval. Even when she chats us on the phone, she does it when he is not around. Yes she is living a life of luxury. Drives a bm and carries Hermes. But is she truly happy? Comfortable yes, but happy, I really doubt.

I agree for single but in relationship wealth aint that important. Cause u each earn your keep and spent your keep.

But when the stage come to tied the knot is another story. u will stilll not deem it very importAnt but more or less u need that little wealth to tied u over...... he housing blab blab is no joke.

When u finally settle down that is a whole new story.....

All in all if u are wealth if u do not know how to manage u will be eventually poor.

Both ladies n gentleman have a point but i view it at a different stage of our lifes. Those term apply.....

What matter do both see yourself still holding hand lovingly when hair is grey..….. i believe both will want that.
At least that is for me.

$ enough to pass thru life n old age.....

My POV is too wealth =more worried
To little wealth = need to tighten belt

So medium is just nice for me.

You must understand ...eating plain bread vs bread talk is the difference in taste ...

If I can afford a better tasting bread , why should I suffer eating a tasteless bread ?

Its never the same at the end of the day ... plain bread very hard to swallow .

or Marry me , every month I give u $300 pocket money , no need to work .. $10 a day for simple meals like plain bread should be enough ..
