Just on this topic - I think Singapore ktv tips is still high compared to other places? Feels like the ktv in other south East Asian countries has got lower tips ? But Singapore ktv is more competitive is it which is why it’s hard to earn a lot of money ?

Singapore cost of living also the highest in SEA if not the World, so naturally KTV tips will be higher. Duh.

Competition will always be high when there are a lot of KTVs and girls, especially in big cities but the Ang Pai can always make a lot of money.

not that Singapore ktv is more competitive, but rather for the hostesses to work here, not being Singaporean or PR, the agents charge them high visa fees that they need to recover otherwise their trip here is wasted

costs of living and the amount of tips are related but not fully the cause. Anyway, China while it's costs of living are lower than Singapore, at least in terms of housing and cars, the ktv tips there, especially in big cities are not low. Worst, if you want to dabao the hostess back for ST or overnight.
At the end, who determines the amount of tips? It's a matter of demand and supply and depends on who's more desperate, the client or the hostess.

I personally don't like HCM, I like Hanoi and Danang better for the cold weather. Hanoi girls are prettier too
