CPF SA will be closed for age 55 and more starting next year. Any bros or sis affected by this and have to managed their excess money from the closed SA (ending up in the OA with only 2.5% interest) and have found commercial wealth management products that is low to medium risk but still beats the 2.5% OA interest, please share with us. CPF money is managed by GIC. Look at the 20 year annualised average return of GIC. CPF interest rates can reach 5% per year with an extra 1% given on the first $60k.

Makes you wonder how they have been paying 4% on Medisave and Special Account over the years when GIC are reporting lower numbers.

Why only single out age 55 n abv ?
If want to close should close all ... shouldn't we enjoy the progress of SG together ?
Our $$$ has been lock for 55 years n now tell us ether to transfer to RA for higher interest but lock up ... or to OA for 2.5% ... if not happy just withdraw n park somewhere else

next month ssb still paying 2.56% pa for 10 years.
no tax only $2 flat fee to subscribe any amount.
but max per person only can hold up to 200k of SSB
