Hi regulars here,

thinking of going jkt during the CNY period. IS it a good time to go? As this is the first time I am going and due to constraint of time, can someone provide me with some info (recommended) on where to stay and cheong around JKT??

Or brothers here can direct me to the posts/threads where info can be found.

Hi rainman,

as you have been there umpteen times ( i am sure ), you must know the place very well...

Actually i would like to go there and check out Jkt, look see only if you will, kinda like an intro visit...Just a short three day visit.

So i need a place to stay ( clean and simple and safe not too ex, maybe up to $50sg), and some places I can meet girls (free lancers) and massage . As for shopping and stuff, I think I can manage. Hope i am not asking too much......Just some recomendation will do lah....do not need to be in details

If such info already existed in this thread, hope someone can direct me there (as this thread is verrrry long)

As i am organising this trip in short notice, i do not have enough time to go through this thread.....hope brothers here understand. I am not trying to be a free loader.....just need some help...

Clubs: Int'l standard..not the usual shakehead joint! (all by Taxi)
Retro - Crown Plaza
Embassy - Taman Ria Senayan

Indo typical club:
Stadium - Hayam Wuruk
Millenium - Gajah Mada (opp Stadium)
Athena Disko - smaller..but better luck!..try abv 2 first though

7-11 (F**K & Go convenient store)

LA Bar
MTR (All 3 are at Pengaran Jayakarta..but difficult to find, not advisable if you are not fluent with the lang.. )

Massage..too many to list.. i list by area
Blok M (various spa)- taxi about 35min from the hotel if no traffic, more than 1+ if jam
Pengeran Jayakarta (Puri Hadanyani)- same as '7-11'
Tropikal Spa - near Roxy Plaze, u get Chinese gal
Sumo Spa - far..at Kelapa Gading, local, PRC, Ruskies
La Luna Spa - Batu Ceper (20-40min)

if you are unfamiliar..i suggest you just try this..
Hard Rock Cafe 1st to try your luck..
Millennium & Stadium .. confirm you'll get it if you're not too choosy

the last 2 is enough for a repeat visit.. anyway you don't have much
time and you're not going to screw a 100+ girls.. so don't waste
time going places..

anyway.. confirm this won't be your last trip and you'll be back for more..

ask Martini_Fan, Blursam, Phenom, Songster, Wonsim..
they're all willing repeat victims!

the other area, unless a local can show you around.
otherwise you'll might get lost or having a taxi driver bringing you
in circles..
