I'm having trouble with XXX and Great Wall.
XXX goes directly to the end-movie credits.
Great Wall stops at the 1 hour mark.
I'm using VLC media player.
Any advice?

Hi Bro,

My notebook playing both film w/o problem.
My computer configuration:
OS: Win10, RAM 8GB, hard disk 1Tb
Partition the drive to C: (system) and D: (data) 500GB each. For C: drive I used to keep more free space for system and temporary file running (usually 50% min.). For D: drive almost always full and need to keep transfer the file between the USB 3.0 external hard disk docking station.

For most software when running, it will create some temporay file especially when the system RAM too small and the C: drive space not enough may cause problem like hung or blue screen... incomplete file download or damage file also possible cause problem. Now, I can't see and don't know what is your configuration.

I suggest first check this few things:
1st, check the file size is it correct.
The Great Wall file size is : 3.40 GB (3,653,291,217 bytes)
xXx file size is : 4.08 GB (4,383,049,250 bytes)
If file size not same, you may have to download again.

2nd, check you VLC player is it latest ver. or reinstall.

3rd, try open those film with other player, such like PowerDVD

4th, clear you system temp. & usless file. Just use the tool at right click drive icon then Properties > General > Disk Cleanup. or download the free Ccleaner software. and if the computer used often at least once a month run the "Optimize and defragment drive" also can speed up a bit. Properties > General > Tools > Optimize and defragment drive. or download the free Defraggler software.

PS: if your hard disk is SSD or SSD+HDD combo drive. Do not do the defragment.
