hi bros i had a question t ask about marrying a foreigner. I had known my gf(vietnamese) for 3 yrs met her thru her aunt match made. my gf had study in singapore before.now she is coming back to study again for nitec f&b plyus a uk diploma of f&b. Should i let her apply employment pass later apply pr or jus let her go baclk after studies then i bring her back to marry and since she had been to singapore to study will there b any problems?i am an IT support officer earning $1800 a month. any bros got any advice 4 mi appreciate!

If she is coming back to study, then a Student Pass will be the most suitable. Employment pass are for professionals or degree holders who earns more than $2500 a month. There will not be any problem for you to marry her after she has completed her studies. You can either choose to marry in Singapore or in Vietnam. But my advise is to ROM in Singapore.

I think u got a bit confused. S Pass are for Diploma holders whose pay is between $1800 and $2500 while Employment Pass is for Degree holders or professionals whose pay is over $2500.

ROM in Singapore is surely a better choice. Spend less and much faster. After ROM, just bring the marriage certificate back to Vietnam,
(1) translate to Vietnamese,
(2) let Singapore Consultate General certify
(3) Bring to Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vietnam to certify
(4) Bring the certified copied back to her province

yes, my wife is vietnamese and also Singapore PR for the past 1 1/2 yrs. Like any other government, if you want your foreigner wife to become PR, you have to work hard on your pay

Yes, MOM is refering S pass type of EP to you. It replaces the old Q2 Pass category. You S pass is assessed on a points system. [Btw your first post is talking about you holding the pass, not your gerfrd right, your paragraph is making me confused.] When you attain a certain range of points, den you can ask your company to apply PR for you.

Maybe you can roughly point out what nationality status you are holding right now?
If your ger is working ahead to be a F&B elite, it's best for her to study hard and get good results, get sponsored by local F&B company, in a way, she can attain her PR herself, in a few years time.

I remember photos are not counted as evidence for adultery. It must be caught in the act by the Gong An. Hence there is this woman, followed her husband to the mistress place. Waited half an hour, called the Gong An and report thef in that apartment. When the Gong An barge in, she followed suit and snapped away......

Does any bros out there knows how long it normally takes to get approval from ICA for LTSVP? I've been waiting for the past 4 weeks and have not hear from them by post. Called them and they said it is still under processing and have to wait at most for another 2 weeks.

Sigh...Taking so long does that means my application is having any hiccups??

I do know of 1 thai lady who is SINGLE, has an Employment Pass and got her PR when she started applying for it.

So I guessed if the foreign girl is a Foreign Talent, then she gets PR very fast and can do it on her own. And then just marry her.
