thank you for all the information available here. it really useful. was there 2 weeks ago and the experience is quite gd. during my last visit, my driver was able to bring me to most of the booking joint stated here. since my prefer syt and petite gal, i found permata has around 3 to 4 gals that meant my criteria. my first nite with rida from jawa(if not mistaken) was wonderful and great. he service was gd and obedient and reactive. just too quite.

that's right - both nono and ndnd posted address and pics. DE BOTTLE . Go in the evening to the 4th floor - rooftop setting. airy and nice. Buffet is between 6pm-8pm (Indo time). Friday evenings - will see OLs (indo-chinese and FT) during the buffet - free draught beer as well during the buffet timing (San Miguel and Heineken).

Wear casual but not in slippers and shorts. Saw that ang mo didnt get service when wear slippers and shorts.

Well done there,bro.You are the 1st 1st-timer to Batam i knew who are courageous enough to head to Kaha to book a room in Formosa Hotel. A good advise from you is to always standby IDR before heading to Kaha. So,very likely most bros after reading your FR will change their currency at Harbour Bay before heading to Kaha. But again,just a note for your future reference,Harbour Bay money has one of the WORST exchange rate in Batam (tho they are still better as compare to sillypore),so what i suggest is,change an amount just nice for your room voucher,head to Kaha,pay up before heading to Money changer opp Formosa Hotel to change the rest of your money for your trip. And always check at least 2 shops to get the best rate.

Good luck and i am almost sure that your next trip will be better than this one.

Looked up on some reviews on TripAdviser and found out that the price for buffet & free flow beer is 115k rupiah... Free flow beer is offered from 6-8pm but after that, u can still continue to indulge in the buffet food, albeit without the free flow beer.

Dirt cheap in my opinion, considering that some of my friends can drink the bar dry...!

As per KohOnly21, the wanton noodle stall is not open at night. It is usually closed by 1pm or whenever everything is sold out..

But there are plenty of other food there as well. As previously shared, I had tried the kwetiau basah there before and it is pretty good...

Get a piece of KFC fried chicken and a piece of home-cook fried chicken,leave the KFC fried chicken to cool down for an hour and the home-cook fried chicken for 24 hour.and then smell both chicken. He says that i will be able to smell some stinky chemical smell from the KFC chicken (after 1 hour) and not from the home-cooked fried chicken,even after 24 hour.

So what i am saying is,when i ate that Ayam Penyet from the nearby Sekupang street shop during my last trip,it doesnt have that "stinky chemical smell" even after i travel a long way to buy it back to hotel to eat,hehehe...

About the purchasing of hotel voucher @ KAHA, i was lucky that the taxi driver borrow me some cash for the voucher.
For my next trip i will ask the taxi driver to bring me to money changer nearby Harmoni Hotel > KAHA > Hotel.

For all country at their airport or ferry terminal, only change for the minimum currency for taxi fare only.
