Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
could have won the game at Sevilla but conceding 3 goals after half time and the 3rd goal in the 93 minute and losing 2 valuable points in the process. an utter shame to Liverpool defending.
a win would have guaranteed qualification into the next round but ........... they needed to wake up and play more games. well done. https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news...erpool-9427738 |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
With Robertson in place of Moreno we would have won the game, although not playing our usual fluid attacking football.
Sevilla were on the ball before any of our lads, they were quicker in any single player, we couldn't play our traditional attacking football. But certainly speculating on the quality of our forwards we could bag home the three points with three very qualitative goals, and even netting some goals more on the counter if Salah, Firmino and Can had been a tad more ruthless. This game should be won not playing attractive football, but with a solid defensive display and lethal counter attacks. At the end of the first half, a couple of changes and system could do it in our favor. Klopp this time has flopped his decisions as other times in the past. Why not finding a place on the bench for Andy Robertson? Why go back to adapt James Milner to play in his not natural position at left back as Alberto Moreno was called off? Jurgen will have to give us many answers about tonight's half shambles! Also, again it all comes back to lack of leadership, lack of warriors, lack of intelligence, lack of control, lack of spine. We really need a new captain who has the guts and gumption to lead! |

Basically it was Moreno and our useless Captain and the rest of our weak Midfield which totally brought us down. Oh and can include Klopp as well for his bad tactics! |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Finally back from my holidays and watched Klopp's god son, Moreno mistakes given 2 goals to Sevilla. Suspect, Klopp bought Robertson for the sake of spending money. I still favor sacking Klopp.

The team threw away 3 points and allowed 3 goals in 45 minutes. This is a big upset.
I expect the team to kill Sevilla but Sevilla blowed us instead. No words just very disappointed. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
I would question having LK as keeper for CL games
Also we never learn from our Europa league defeat to Sevilla in the cup finals which would have given Klopp his first silverware |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Liverpool deserved to lose the match so a draw was a kind result.
In the first half, Sevilla could have scored 2 to 3 goals but due to good luck and nice goalkeeping the team escaped. This was the warning that second half was going to be more challenging. Results like this make the attacking players demoralized because they work so hard yet to defense concedes goals. |

You did well in yesterday's game and should have scored 1 more goal to make it a hatrick. Ah Gong have sense of dejavu coming that Liverpool cannot make it pass the group stage.

Tiebreakers The teams are ranked according to points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss). If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following criteria are applied in the order given to determine the rankings (regulations Article 17.01): [1] higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question; [2] superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question; [3] higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question; [4] higher number of goals scored away from home in the group matches played among the teams in question; if, after having applied criteria 1 to 4, teams still have an equal ranking, criteria 1 to 4 are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the teams in question to determine their final rankings. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria 6 to 12 apply; [6] superior goal difference in all group matches; [7] higher number of goals scored in all group matches; [8] higher number of away goals scored in all group matches; [9] higher number of wins in all group matches; [10] higher number of away wins in all group matches; [11] lower disciplinary points total based only on yellow and red cards received in all group matches (red card = 3 points, yellow card = 1 point, expulsion for two yellow cards in one match = 3 points); [12] higher club coefficient. |
